Wondering this too. I just made a new routine becuase I haven't been making many gains lately, pretty stagnant. Im on the fence between using dumbbells for:
chest press
incline chest press
decline press
rows
shoulder press
or simply barbell for everything. Like i said ive been pretty stagnant with barbells lately so feel like switching it up. What do you guys think?

Dumbbells are great for each of those moves. I don't know if they're better than barbell but it definitely wouldn't hurt you to shake it up and engage some additional stabilizer muscles
