Benching, yes, but sitting in reverse so his ass is only half on the bench, and no one can spot him or help him if anything goes wrong and he has to unrack by moving the weight towards his neck.

He also has no way to move the bar to his midsection if he fails a rep and he's essentially trapped because of the horizontal bar between the 2 weight racks.

Just don't wear weird clothing or misuse machines. The trainer dudes usually show you how to use everything when you start and you can always ask some experienced guys. Most people aren't as autistic as people here and will help out new people when they ask for help or do something extremely wrong.

The shit you read on here is not representative of any of the gyms I have been to. Everyone is nice at my one and people generally keep to themselves. You can ask for an induction when you join so they will show you how to do things properly. No one cares if you are fat, a lot of people who are there are fat and trying to do something about it.

You see some strange stuff occasionally, but everyone just leaves them to it unless they are being a total pain (taking up 2 machines, or getting in peoples way) or are doing something that will hurt themselves.

Honestly, getting caught taking pictures of people in the gym is a lot worse than most of the stuff you read in these threads
