I attend my University's Olympic+powerlifting room. I organize the equipment (most people that use the room put their shit back, I barely have to do this) and make sure people don't snap their shit up. I'm also encouraged to workout myself for "atmosphere."

It's maximum comfy.

I work as a account manager for a highly specialized IT-company.

Not to interested in Firearms, would like to beat Dog Handler but at the minute I'm Response so it's all good. Nothing like chasing shitbag burglars at 01:29 in the morning.
Do weights mostly for town centre 'bundles' and some HIIT for good foot chase stamina.

I'll be damned if I ever turn into a fat piece of shit that can't catch a criminal because I ate too many pizza's or burger's.

After a few years you can branch out on your own and if fails you can always find a good solid job at any gym.

right, I fought it for years. Doing other jobs, but once I sat down and really saw how much they made, the time it takes to get to a good salary, and the ceiling which really does not exist.

Hospice worker here. One of my patients is a 48-year-old lady with cancer that's causing holes in her abdomen that are oozing toxic, cancerous, horrific smelling blood. When she's awake she in 200/10 pain, so we have to load her up with meds every hour to keep her out. She's been with us for nearly two weeks now and hasn't eaten anything and barely drinking any water, but is still holding on because the cancer is mostly in her stomach and bowels, and she has a strong heart. We have three other patients to juggle as well. Shit's rough, my dudes.

I think it really depends what kind of work I did that day some cars are a pita to work on and really take their mental and physical till. Some days are so easy I feel like I got a nice warm up before hitting the gym.
Still beats doing a desk job though I've had one and it made me drink a lot more alcohol.

I know. But I believe the Way of the Theif is becoming invested in its discipline in every way. Going back to my homie, he could have easily paid for the powder (though Whole Foods is expensive as fuck so i don' blame him), but instead he used that as an opportunity to master his backpack snag technique.

Cop in a large sized city in the American South. I'm in a high crime area so I have a ton of cardio to do. Keeping on muscle (with stress, odd hours, running, etc) is the hardest part unless I want to go to SWAT... but I want to be a homicide detective.
>>
>>41120496
Hoping to work for Austin Police Department in about a year, question for you and the other /fit/ officers, would SWAT prevent you from ever advancing to detective? Is it a dead end?

Also, does coming from out of the area make it less likely that I'll be hired?
>>
>>41120496
is TRT and HGH covered by your health insurance?
>>
>>41120546
met police here, for us you pretty much streamline once you've picked a speciality - why would the higher ups want to spend money training you to do armed rapid response, for you to up and change to working as a detective? It's hard to switch out of a specialised role, definitely not impossible though.

I wanted to do riot response to try it out, but after realising it was locking me in to years of it, I backed out to pursue my investigation license instead.
>>
>>41120388

>>
>>41120546
Umm, it depends on your department culture on how they view officers changing hats.

My department likes for the cops to move around a lot so they don't get bored with their duties, but I know most other departments don't like crossing certain fields.

SWAT is seen as the "dumb muscle" field and detective as the "brainy" field. And they don't like to promote from each other. But then again you can always "promote out" by becoming Sargeant/Lieutenant/Captain and getting back as a patrolman and then in a year or two putting in for a detective.

You should speak to the beat cops of the agency you're interested in to find out for sure.

There are 3 routes.
>Teach yourself
This is what I mostly did and it's hard as balls. Blacksmithing isn't really something you can learn from a book, as written text can't fully explain every little thing you're doing wrong
>go to school
There are schools that teach blacksmithing, but they are expensive
>get an apprenticeship
This is extremely difficult as they almost always expect you to already be proficient because if you don't know how to blacksmith, then you aren't very much use.

I'd suggest you find someone willing to teach you or pay for a demonstration, those will cost you like $250 for a 2 day course though.
