Chad enters the gym and today is "arms day." He decided upon it being "arms day" five minutes ago in the car. He doesn't follow a set program and vaguely remembers setxrep schemes. He doesn't pay attention to what weights to use for each exercise. His form is terrible for each of the twenty isolation exercises he does for his biceps, triceps, and forearms. He quarter-squats once a week, flat benches five days a week, and doesn't know what a deadlift is.

Cuck enters the gym and today is "Day C." He has been following a program for a year, a program he found online after thorough research and one that promises big gains. He has toiled away at form checks, researched optimum setxrep schemes, and subscribed to every "reputable" YouTube fitness expert there is. He carries with him a marble notebook which has tracked and logged every workout and meal he has had for the past year. He squats ATG, flat benches with a perfect arch, and is the only guy at his gym that deadlifts.

Why is Chad bigger and stronger than Cuck? Why does Chad get to chat up the cardio bunnies and get 'mired by gym regulars while Cuck is in the corner, chalking up his hands for the next pull with no one even giving him a glance?

Are we just getting memed? Why does Chad always win?

I know a lot of /fit/ doesn't actually lift but I'm assuming you have, at least, stepped inside of a gym.

There are more guys in the gym doing the "wrong things" than there are ones following doctrines of lifting you read about on the internet; the supposed "right things" to do. Yet, nine times out of ten, the average guy doing the "wrong thing" is going to be bigger and stronger than average dude doing the "right thing."

This isn't difficult to observe for yourself.

If you spend all of your time worrying about how someone else has it better then you then you'll never have it good in your own life and never know how good you have it. I do base my routines around compound workouts, try eating more, try lifting everyday. Gain somewhat results to the point where i look decent.

Compound fucking workouts,

DEADLIFT, SQUAT, BENCH, OVERHEADPRESS ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK ALL THOSE!

YOU THEN ADD ARMS/TRAPS/ABS/CALF etc into those major compounds.

Should aim for compounds atleast TWICE A WEEK, once a week is piss weak.

I can say this because once i changed my routine to this all lifts/muscles grew compared to rest ppl i saw at gym.

Honestly Chad wins because he does lots of physical activities outside the gym. Organized sports, hiking, generally being out and about moving. Whereas gymcels work hard and smart 3-5 times a week then just sit at home the rest of the time. Genetics are part of it but largely it's overall activity level.

Played13 years of my life in a sports team, does not work like that. You start when you're 8. train weekly with your friends, have games, hang out on weekends. Its a special kind of bonding between guys that played together for years. You lose and win games together, you train together, there are fights, hierarchical stuff, hazing and so on. Younger guys had to carry or wash their stuff, harsher tone, commands and so on. When you were the older player you treated the younger ones the same. Seniority in teams has its way. Im convinced it built my character.

Anyways, its not like there's on captain on the team and the rest are just guest roles. It makes you more assertive and dominant verbally in real lift since you are used to rougher language from there.
