Weird problem, /fit/. Cardio isn't making my breathing rate go up anymore.
This isn't some weird humblebrag. My times and output aren't improving, they're actually getting worse. My heartrate still goes up and if I push I can get it into "ease up, turbo" territory. I just makes me feel faint and get tired. If I try to manually breathe (which you are now doing) faster, I just feel faint quicker.
Also have had pretty low blood pressure for about a year now (resting is 95/45), but I've had a bunch of tests done and nothing's turned up.
Any ideas?

I rarely get out of breath with light cardio (if I am not doign extreme HIIT sprinting)
I call bullshit. Get yourself a heavy kettlebell and do some swings till exhaustion. Guaranteened to gasping for air effect, it´s like half cardio half weights.

Should have specified, the cardio I'm doing is stationary bike HIIT.

See a doctor
>>41115615
I have the exact opposite problem
when I run I feel out of breath in the first couple of seconds but my body isnt tired at all
my run times and distances are both still improving but it feels like my lungs are on fire the whole way
>>41115615
I think you might be dead
>>41115645
try going as fast as possible for a decent amount of time, see if that bump your breathing up
>>41115679
Run slower.
>>41116331
but I want to run faster??
and it happens at slower speeds too
>>41116379
run faster by running slower first. Build an aerobic base
>>41116618
Ive been running for months. shouldnt I have built up a base by now?
I dont run very fast as it. my current run is 1.4km in ~6-7mins (and back, but the second half is slower)
>>41116791
If you can run a 7 minute mile that's fairly good.
>>41116819
but Im still bad at the actual process of running. I dont get it. maybe I just have shit lungs or something
>>41116868
Did you grow up around mould?
>>41116868
I also get gassed really quickly when Im lifting. I get out of breath on anything over sets of 5 on squat and dl even at lighter weight
its probably linked

>If I try to manually breathe (which you are now doing)
fucking shit fuck
>>41116892
unironically yes. I also had asthma as a kid, but I dont use an enhaler anymore.
