I'll tell you what I do think about the NoBrap movement. I believe it's good to not shit a lot. Holding in your farts can also help tighten that butthole. And releasing a massive shit after awhile stimulates all the nerves in the body. Good for nerve gains.

I always store it up for about 3 days before a heavy squat day. I find pause squats with the valsalva to be most effective more maximizing strength gains. If I'm going for gluteal hypertrophy, though, I bounce at the bottom.
