I do push-ups, pistols, and sit-ups ever other day. I do three sets, with as many reps as I can manage until I drop from exhaustion. Will this get me anywhere at all?
Bump, also wanna know

do this for 3 months and let us know
Yes, it's a good way to get core strength before hitting the weights. And yes it will also give visible improvements, nothing to impressive/stunning tho.

as long as you're not doing the pushups with her dogshit terrible form you should be fine
>hips way up in the air
>shoulders not protracted
>arms way too far apart
>hands turned in so elbows flare way out

It's okay but be sure to record your reps and weights are a bit better

Different types of push ups hit different muscles you retarded flask

replace pushups with handstand pushups
shitups with pullups
pistols are useless(except for destroying hips and knees), better run sprints or even long distances
and then when handstands and pullups get easy work on planche pushups and front lever rows

In the long run, no. I should know because I had this exact routine for two years back when I was a Skelly in high school. You may make some gains at first, but when you hit the high rep range you'll get severely diminished returns. At a certain point you'll just need more weight than your body can provide. Also, your arms will be kind of imbalanced with that routine, as your triceps will get stronger while your biceps remain fairly weak. See if you can throw in some pullups at least to even it out.

What do you consider high rep range? I can do about 20 push-ups in a row now.

I honestly can't say for sure, but I believe above 50 would basically just be cardio. Don't fall for the 100 push-ups meme like I did. If you can somehow do a weighted push-ups (heavy backpack or something), and do like 10 reps (depending on weight), you'll probably see more progress.
