I tried the bar rotations yesterday and doing the rolling didn't really feel like doing any work with my forearms whatsoever. It makes sense, the bar is barely lifted and I can't do a very large range motion when extending one wrist. It's basically a weird wrist-curl where you curl one wrist at a time while holding on with both hands. For what purpose? Just do wrist curls with both hands then.

Doing supinated wrist extensions on a cable machine works the best for me. Extending my wrist when it's pronated always made it eventually hurt with dumbells, EZ-bar or straight bar. Supinated feels fine.
