Lifting while sick?
Alright guys so quick question here. I had to deload by a considerable amount today, instead of my working sets for bench being 185x5, I was barely pushing up 175x5 as a max. Even with pre-workout, I found my working sets being 165x5 today, and 135x5 for incline. So after the end of all my accessories, I went back and popped out 2 extra sets for bench and incline, at 145x5 and 115x6 each, respectively. Is that the right thing to do? If I have to deload because I can't lift at 100%, can I just add a bit more volume to help counteract a poor workout?

You did the right thing, just deload and lift what you can. Sucks to not be at your strongest, but you still got some lifting done. The extra sets will help combat lost gains.

Exerting yourself while sick is how you make that sickness worse and potentially do permanent damage to your body take off for a little while and heal it's not like a few days off will make you lose your gains
