The resistance given in weighted calisthenics is relative to your bodyweight. Basically, if you're skinny and you do weighted pull-ups with a 45 lb weighted vest, it's not really gonna do jack shit. Same goes for any other movement. If you care about being jacked, get strong with barbell movements like benching, rowing, military presses, overhead trIcep extensions, and barbell curls

Can you get strong and jacked with weighted calisthenics? Yes, but it is harder to track your strength since it is relative to your bodyweight. Calisthenics is great for connective tissue and stabilizer building, but it is not ideal for beginners who need clear and identifiable progress.
