I do fairly light abwork at the start of every workout. Gets the blood flowing and helps me focus on activating them for my compound movements. Guess you don't have to but I feel like it's safer especially when going heavy

I always wonder if I should. I am lean enough to see my abs but they sag out like a belly.. does working them fix it?
Even though it might sound weird I warm up with pull ups, and when I do one pull up, I do a sit up while hanging in the bar for 2s10r Then go through regular workout. I'm still looking for a regular ab routine if anyone can provide
After workout I do 3+ minutes of planking (record is 7:30) then 3x10 ab-roller.
But I get lazy sometimes and just go home after lifting weights rather than do cardio or ab work.

I'm doing progressive overload on abs. On nonconsecutive days I do 3 planks, and I'm increasing by 15 seconds whenever it gets too easy. Shit suuuucks but progress is so satisfying.

I squat and deadlift pretty heavy, so don't see the need to isolate them. could see the argument for stomach vacuums, but can't ever remember to do em.

I'm a 6'1, 180lbs, skinnyfat dyel. Been doing Stronglifts for a few weeks now and still relatively low weight. Is abwork worth anything to me if i cant even see them? Should i never do crunches or corework until they start becoming visible?
