The struggle man, probably gunna take years to go back to some semblance of normalcy, skin-wise. Pretty standard 5 day split for me but I run 30 mins everyday before I lift. Also eat around 150g of protein everyday on a 1500 kcal restricted diet. Worked for me at least (so far)

Shoot for losing 1% of your bodyweight a week, it's very doable (i.e. if 150lb aim for 1.5 lbs of weight loss/ week), go up to 2lbs of weight loss/ week if you want but not over even if you're heavier to avoid too much loose skin or getting burnt out

5'10" large-framed manlet here, no pics but quick question.

Recently went from 225 to 188. Been eating 1500-1800 calories per day for 4 months now.

What do you guys recommend in terms of taking a break from this deficit? I have a hard time going off my diet. Only really had one or two cheat meals in these 4 months. But I've been feeling kind of weak and my weight loss has stalled.

Probably going to try to drop about 10-15 more pounds overall. Thanks bros.

Lifting, if you can call it that, for about 10-11 months with no idea how to do it right; like a complete idiot. Shitty die, took me a long time to recognize and correct faults with my form, no progression or real program etc. Last month or two I've started to learn and started a program, hopefully I can actually make gains from now on since I've never really made any before. 6'1" and 157lbs

Not enough, I guess. In the last year my bodyweight has increased about 4lbs and the amount of fat around my gut has decreased noticeably so I assume I'm typically at around maintenance. But I still can't shake the feeling that if I eat more I'll only get fatter again since I've never really proved to myself that I can increase my lifts or make any visible gains.

Natty so far, shoulders involves -

a lot of heavy dumbbell pressing 4 sets of 5-6 reps and then 3 sets of 10 at lighter weight

followed by machine shoulder press at whatever weight I feel like for 4-5 sets

Rear delt cable flies 4-5 sets 16-20 reps

side lateral cable raises 4-5 sets 16-20 reps

Front lateral cable raises 3-4 sets 16-20 (do less sets because of how much they get worked in pressing motions.)

Then if I have the energy a couple of burnout sets with dumbbells in all plains, so generally 12 rear delt flies, immediately followed by 12 lateral raises and then 12 front raises.

In short heavy pressing and very high volume raises.

Keep lifting, eat a few hundred cals over maintenance, try not to pack on the fat when you bulk up. Any cals over maintenance will promote muscle growth, don't need a surplus of like 1000cals like some would have you believe
