OP I have the same. It's fungas/fungus scars.

My doctor told me that if they don't itch, the only thing that will get rid of them is tanning because they've scarred but I think he's lying because they spread.

Use anti fungal creams/shampoo like Nizoral on the spots daily. A good idea is, before you shower, lather yourself for ~15 minutes with Nizoral.

It's also not a hygiene thing.

Try an antifungal cream and if that don't work see a doctor. It could be a variety of skin issues but you can't tell from a photo.

If you're having particular issues with a fungus try this:
have a thorough shower/bath in the morning (because you're going to do some sweaty exrcise and not wash for two days). Feel free to use the shampoo if you wish.

Take 300mg of flucanazole (this would be two typical tablets for thrush) and immediately do some sweat inducing exercise for an hour. Make sure you are sweating like mad afterwards.

DO NOT SHOWER

Then about 24 hours later do exactly the same thing, 300mg and about an hour of sweaty exercise.

DO NOT SHOWER AGAIN for 24 hours.

It's safe, available otc, and gets rid of most things. You may find buying a bunch of these tablets difficult, just say they're for a relative prone to thrush or something. This is off label use so being honest may mean they can't sell them to you.
