/fit/ I have a question about abdominal bracing, so the advice I got was you should take a deep breath then bring the ribs down.
While that makes sense for squats, in a deadlift aren't you supposed to bring the chest up (show the logo on your shirt)
Which is the right way?

When most people try to "chest up" in a DL, they end up throwing their ass down, which is not the way to do it.
Also am I supposed to suck in my gut or brace against a full belly ?

Both

Braaap
Breathe in big into your belly, flex your core hard and push it out. Gripping the bar tightly in every lift will help you stay tight throughout your body as well.

Push the air against your throat.

Gotta be legit

Any lift that takes advantage of spinal compression requires vasalva regardless of individual technique.

Ribs down is a cue for pulling the bar into your lats and tightening your back. Chest up is the first part of the movement as you bring the bar past your knees. Your chest angle shouldnt open until this point so your torso and hips rise in unison.
Bracing is used to keep your back rigid and to avoid flexion.
