Can /fit/ help me? I used to be slightly overweight, but I lost fifty pounds, and now I'm underweight, but still have fat parts on my body, especially on stomach, best way to describe my body figure would be "skinny-fat" (I basically don't have muscles). I usually eat very little, about 500-1500 calories a day, mostly carbohydrates, and don't really work out hard, I do about fifty push-ups, 1.5 minute normal plank, 60 second side planks, twenty pull-ups and crunches here and there. Should I lose fat first or should I build muscle?
Build muscles. You should've started lifting when u started dieting. Now you're gonna start weak and it'll be hard.

Thanks. What should I do about extra fat? I'm afraid that I'll get fat when bulking up.

Do both at the same time. You are beginner.
If you are truly skinnyfat you could be anywhere from 20-25% bodyfat.
Think about this logically. You are supposed to cut when you reach >15% bodyfat. Why the fuck would you START bulking in your situation?
FUCKING LIFT!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm about 15%, I can clearly see my ribs. And I finally got some kind of six pack that is actuall visible.

*actually
Oh, and I'm 5'9 - 6 feet tall and weigh 130 pounds.
My biggest issue is buying clothes, I must shop in children's department. Everything I used to wear is too baggy.
Sorry about retarded photo, couldn't find anything else, but this is basically how I look, except I have less fat all around, and a little more on stomach, I don't have a muffin-top, though.

I have, but I'm new at this, so it's easier when I talk to someone, firsthand.

That's not even that low, m8. BMI is bullshit. I'm the same height as you but lower weight. If you like being skelly (sick facial definition gains) just keep it up. Or lift. Yes you will gain some fat along with the muscle, it's a necessary part of lifting, but it can be easily cut away later.
also fucking GJ on dropping 50lb.

I used to weigh 120 pounds, but I developed health problems, so I had to gain weight again.
