As an alternative you could eat sodium rich foods. Make sure they have a low water content though.

Sounds like you're doing it right, OP. I just wouldn't go past 5 days. From what I understand, at that point the majority of what your body starts to eat is muscle instead of fat.

I did a 3-day water fast once and it only got sorta bad for me around the end of day 3. Of course, my body had time to prep since I had been doing intermittent fasting for 6 months beforehand.

this is now a fasting motivation thread

I'm on 40 hours. The ghrelin induced hunger pains are barely noticeable and easily defeated. I'm drinking mostly water and one or two glasses of salt water a day. I went for a 15 minute jog. I feel great and there's no stopping in sight.

I have 8-10lbs to lose til I can see abs and I'm going to go as fast as possible to the finish line.

I'm just going to ignore the CICO cunts because they're literally insufferable morons.

I fast daily 24 hours. There is always at least 24 hours between my last and first meal.

If I go longer than that, I get extreme diarrhea when I resume eating. 30 hours without food and when I started eating in 5 minutes I had to go to the toilet and spend there the next 30minutes.

45 hours here, looks like we started around the same time in the last thread.

Doing water/coffee/diet sodas, but figure I should cut out the diet sodas next time for the full cleanse. It's my first time doing any kind of fasting so I don't feel too guilty about it.

Ran 22km at 5:10/km earlier, burned about 2k calories from that. Trying for 60 hours for the fast, but will probably raise it to 72 next time I try.
>>
>>40976256
Yes and no. It's completely normal to feel like shit the first few days of a fast. It gets much better afterwards. Also, 3 days is way too short for a fast to have any beneficial effects.
>>
>>40978504
Yeah definitely cut them soda's out. It's tough but it gets easier. That Jimmy More dude said its like exercising your fasting muscle. He's right, I've been trying and trying and this time is definitely the one I go for the longest PR I can.

I'm way out of shape though so 15 minutes was a lot for me, fucking HR shot up to 189. That's incredible though man, keep it up. My mind feels on fire, kinda hard to calm it down for bed. Feel sharp as a tac.
>>
>>40978554
Half way through the run I felt like I had some kind of enhanced runner's high. idk if it was just a placebo, but it was pretty amazing either way.

Might be placebo but who cares, it inspired you. To be honest reminding myself of all the incredible things fasting can do for you is what keeps me going. I've poured over countless hours of Dr. Fung's material, absolutely love the guy.
>>
I started a fast at 6am today and will end it at 6am tomorrow. It's short I know but it's my first ever so I'm starting small. What's this I'm hearing about salt?

>water fast
>Am I doing this right?
You're fasting on water. You're not fucking doing it right. You're a fucking idiot.
>>
>>40976326
There's a difference between starving and fasting. You're doing an african style fast - i.e. starvation.
>>
>>40978627
All I know is salt is really good for you and it won't inhibit autophagy. That's why I drink a cup or two a day of salt water. You can do it without just fine, though.

https://drmalcolmkendrick.org/2014/05/13/salt-is-good-for-you/
>>
>>40978670
Oh I thought it was a necessary part of the fast or something. That's good to know though thank you, I'm gonna check that article when I have time. Anything healthy I can just add to some water is nice.
>>
>>40976505
>I just wouldn't go past 5 days. From what I understand, at that point the majority of what your body starts to eat is muscle instead of fat.
Takes way more than 5 days in general. Only when your fat reserves are nearing depletion does the body switch to a mostly proteic metabolism. Before that, it does use about 20-30 g/day of proteins for gluconeogenesis. Still much less than the amount of fat it uses.
>>
>>40976731
104.5 hours of fasting and my breath now smells fruity. I guess it took this long because of all those years of eating 4+ slices of bread every day, but it feels fucking good that it's finally happened.
>>
>>40978736
God speed homie. Are you doing it for the weight loss? If so how much you looking to lose?
>>
>Studies show

kys
>>
>>40978769
Thanks. I'm fairly thin everywhere except my belly, which means that I'm at least a bit insulin resistant. Gonna just keep going until the belly's gone, or until I can't resist food anymore.

I think once I start eating I'll do keto with a few 24 hour fasts per week.
>>
>>40978407
So you eat one meal a day in a few minutes or do you mean you fast 12 hours?
>>
>>40978811
I honestly don't know what I"m going to eat after this diet. My main perogative is staying away from refined carbs and processed meats. More of a paleo diet. I have like 10 lbs to lose though so this is going to be a religious scale fast. I'm fucking tired of being fat, I was 205lbs when I started the counting calories meme last new years. Lost like 10 pounds but I was miserable.

I'll be around 165, 160 when I finish this fast. Feels good.
>>
>>40978847
What fasting protocol are you doing?

I might also eat some carbs (~100g) on training days. Just because today's workout was pretty terrible.
>>
>>40978877
Yeah just eat all those carbs in one sitting and you should be fine. Won't take long for your body to burn through them.

As far as my protocol goes I was doing just black coffee and water with a few glasses of salt water a day. But I've heard good and bad things about black coffee as it pertains to autophagy so I'll switch on and off days where I drink it and don't.

I'm way out of shape, went for a 15 minute run today and was destroyed, will probably have a rest day tomorrow depending on how I feel. I'm on 40 hours now, going as long as I can.
>>
>putting yourself through the hell of extended fasting

Is this legit, or are people ITT just trying to justify an eating disorder?

I've been cutting for months and the last ~5 lbs just won't go. They are all on my fucking thighs, and it's becoming ridiculous. Everything else on me is completely lean except my legs.

I've been dieting for so long, I'm miserable and I've started bingeing a lot more frequently. I need to get rid of this leftover fat soon or this will turn into an eating disorder.

I already do IF. Doesn't full on fasting cause unbearable cravings? Will this work for stubborn fat? Shoot me an article on this or something

Unless you're a colossal fatass with no muscle, going longer than 48 hours seems excessive. At a certain point around the 24 hour mark, your body starts to catabolize muscle.

However, if you're indeed a fat fuck, then go for it. Wouldn't recommend longer than 72 hours though since your metabolism will start to slow down around that point. Get your electrolytes too: sodium, magnesium, and potassium, so you don't fucking die.
>>

>>
>>40980054
You don't lose muscle on a fast if you there is fat stored, fuckhead.
>b-but you lose protein on a fast

Muscle isn't the only thing made of protein, and your body releases fucking HGH on a fast to rebuild what it does tear down. Why don't you research it a bit before you fucking hurt yourself kiddo.
>>

gonna give this a go for 2 days and see if it's worth it.

I think I'd rather fast for 2 days and eat at maintenance for the other 5, than eat rabbit portions for 7 days.
>>
>>40980708
The first 2 days are the toughest. After two days your hunger hormones go away so you might just wanna keep going if you can make it that far. Don't get discouraged if you can't do it the first try the body has to get acclimated.

Drink lots of water. You can drink black coffee and salt water if you like.
>>
>>40976374
>turns out you loose weight from starving yourself
Who would have thought?
>>
>>40980901
I've only been able to do 1 day before. It's not the hunger pangs but the boredom and just wanting to eat for the sake of eating that gets to me.

I would go for longer but won't that fuck up my lifts even more?
>>
>>40981047
A common misconception is that you will lose muscle mass. I guarantee you that you won't. Your body switches fuel sources from glycogen to your fat storage. Some protein is lost but its not all muscle mass, and HGH is released to rebuild what is broken down. Its a renovating process.

Don't lift too hard on a fast, I'm not sure what your goals are. But try lifting after you acclimate and listen to your body. I've heard great things about exercising like making them more efficient, destroying old and damaged proteins. Making them more efficient and smarter in the sense that they can now use fat for energy and not only sugar.

I really don't wanna site all this shit because I'd have to look up all the studies, but if you research it yourself you'll find it.

>>
Sounds like a pretty stupid plan OP.

How is it impacting your work/life?

You do work right? Anything physical?

Fasting and such is best left to when you have a string of uninterrupted rest days.

>>
>>40981176
The thing about cutting is it actually WILL make you lose muscle mass. Fasting will not. I know that sounds crazy.

Cutting lowers your metabolic rate with your lower calorie intake. So you just end up burning less and eating less. You will feel like shit and be miserable the entire time. Give fasting a try, I'm sure you'll love it. I can link you some youtube vids if you like. I like to watch them when I'm bored for motivation not to break the fast. Its much easier to follow through when you think of all the benefits.

>>
>>40981460
Awesome, I'm glad you're interested. This shit fascinates me. I was very hesitant at first myself, I thought I was going to die. It turns out its a very spiritual, discipline training, body cleaning experience. I have 10lbs to lose so I'm going as long as I can, I'm at 47 hours now since I've eaten and I feel great. All I've had is black coffee and water.

"Alternaive" stuff like this fascinates me too. On a slightly different note but related, I had a back injury last year which I thought was a herniated disk. Couldn't train for months. Then I read about tension myositis syndrome (TMS) which is basically what can happen when you're very stressed and it translates to physical pain even though you're not injured. Just realizing that healed me in like 2 days. I still would've been fucking "injured" if I went on believing I had an actual herniated disk. I still can't believe it worked.
>>
>>40981567
Well check this out, you're going to like this. Try an intermittent fast, I'm worried you'll lose lean mass on an extended one.

Have a nice workout and eat the most rediculous meal after. All of your calories in one meal with your weight loss considered, like 1800 cal?. Wait about 20 hours, the next day. Your HGH will be peaking from the fast, have a fucking wild workout because of the HGH gains. Eat right after, Try to time it so that it works out to be a 24 hour cycle.

I've heard this called the Warrior Diet before. But it sounds awesome, going to try it once I get lean.
>>
I did 16/8 and keto for 6 months and saw great results in fat loss.
Now I'm trying DODO and keto as I hear longer fasts are better overall, was thinking of trying to up it in a week or so to 48.

I fasted for 3 days straight with no food. At ~400 calories of chicken breast this morning because I had a job interview and didn't want to bomb it due to nausea. I think fasting one day then eating a small 500 low-carb calorie meal the next is a sustainable pattern for weight loss.

This. "Feast" done properly is a very different experience than eating a small meal and resuming fasting again.

I´ve dropped over 6kg in a month. I fast daily 24 hours, always 24 hours between my first and last meal and I eat only once a day.

When I finish my huge meal, I can feel the blood pumping, I generate lot of heat, sweating. It really ramps up my metabolism. On some days I´ve continued to eat for so long I actually start to notice the metabolic effect. Your heart rate goes up, you feel hot, it´s a great feeling. Almost like a pump from working out.

Here's a REAL SIMPLE WAY TO FAST to all you "hurr durr not eating for 5 days, check my pecs brah"

Goal: 2000-2500 cals a day.

What bruv? Sounds like too much for cutting?
Well listen up fagget here's what you do:

from 10PM to 2PM you aren't allowed to eat/drink ANYTHING containing calories. Only drink water my dude. You'll be sleeing a lot in this time-period anyways so no worries.

Next, you have these 8 hours where you have to fill up your 2000-2500 cals. This shit will leave you full until you go to bed. Only time you MIGHT be hungry will be just before finishing your 14 hours of fasting

This shit is SO FUCKING EASY it boggles me how people still get it wrong.

Just do it brahs. It fucking works.

>>

I do 18/6 and drink black coffee while fasting to no ill effect.

>people think you don't lose muscle on a fast

Hilarious. The entire fitness community is based around somehow cutting efficiently without loosing TOO much muscle and here these guy are, saying you can just eat NOTHING for days and your body will exclusively use your fat storages.

So I can bulk up to 30% bf with insane muscle mass and then just cut down to 7% by fasting without losing muscle right?
>>
>>40986141
Yes. A complete lack of food incurs hormonal changes that a calorie deficit doesn't.
>>
>>40986155
Right, so since decades the fitness industry just did not find out about fasting and the entire issue of being lean while also holding a large among of muscle is trivial because you can maintain maximum muscle mass while also being incredibly lean - by fasting?

You guys are kidding yourselves. There's no reason you can't eat food everyday and still look good. Hell, I do 16/8 but that's just to make it easier to keep my calories low with two big meals. Going days without food though? Fuck that, I'd rather be skinnyfat than give up food like that.

Yes. Keep going anon. I've done 21 days and it requires some mental discipline.

Fasting is great for chubs like me. I've gone from 310 to 190 through a mix of 1 week, 2 week, 3week, and intermittent fasting.

This is not starvation. Starvation is when you desperately need nutrients to sustain life. For fats like me, we have sufficient reserves, and no, you will not automatically gain it back. There's a very distinct metabolic difference between severe calorie restriction (bad for your, due to drop in TDEE, and if not done with IF, a drop in HGH) and fasting (increase in body TDEE + increase in muscle sparing HGH).

Fasting is life. Don't buy into all the tumblerinas' here "starvation" nonsense. It is painful, but anything worth in life is. Best the pain because you are a man, and the you off tomorrow will thank you for it. Good luck.

Your body has fat storage for a reason. You think your body would go for your muscle when it has fat available. How can people be this fucking dumb? It's literally common fucking sense.

You're in a cave. Haven't eaten in a day. Want to go hunting but you can't because you're body is shutting down in "starvation" mode. Die instantly. Human race ends.

I will have to spell it out because it seems that you are actually too stupid to understand why your body goes for muscle before fat:

Fat is its last storage for energy. If there is nothing left, take that. It's a valuable storage that, if possible, should be kept.
Abundant muscle mass however does not serve any purpose - the moment your body realizes it's starving it would much rather get rid off useless muscle mass. Muscle mass itself even requires energy to maintain.
Logically, the most efficient way of handling the situation is for your body to break down muscle instead of its valuable fat resources.

There you go.

YOU WILL NOT LOSE MEANINGFUL AMOUNTS OF MUSCLE MASS ON AN EXTENDED DIET UNLESS YOU HAVE NO FAT STORAGE.

>>
>>40987172
not sure fat can be converted into protein to be honest. Wouldn't the body attempt to reduce it's muscle size to decrease the maintenance calorie cost ? Then finally go for the fat stores when it barely needs any protein anymore ?
>>
>>40987282

yeh but my bench will go down, so fug u faggot
>>
>>40987247
Not necessarily true. Your body absolutely needs protein to survive. If you don't ingest enough protein your body will use the protein in your muscles to survive. This is why keto works, because you cut out carbs and eat mostly protein. Your body can't just use fat instead of protein. Fat is made of lipids and protein is made of Amino Acids. The best way to diet is to eat nothing but protein, but this is hard on the body (especially kidneys) and you also need fiber. (Also sugar is used by the brain so your functional skills might start lacking). This is why chicken and vegetables are great for cutting and carbs are good for bulking (post workout). The muscle loss won't be huge on fasting, but if you ate a few chicken breasts every day you would preserve your muscle a lot better. CICO does work you faggots, I lost 100 ibs in a year by dieting on 1500 kcal (Lifts were still dogshit after maintaining about 100g of protein a day tho)

What a useless relative term.

Yes, abundant muscle mass is less valuable than a solid fat storage in a starving scenario.

It's simple: no bodybuilder has ever cut by fasting. It doesn't work, it kills too much muscle mass and performs a lot worse than a regular deficit cut.
That's it.

>>40987357
You have great discipline, my dude. You had to feel like shit on that cut. That method almost always fails, it did for me. CICO does work but not perfectly, it has a lot to do with what you're eating and when you're eating. That is what is lost in translation when we say CICO is bullshit. If you eat 1000 calories of carbs, a meal as soon as you get up, all throughout the day, and right before you go to bed, you will be in a feeding state, your insulin will be high and you will always be in fat storage mode. Your body will lower its metabolic rate to compensate and you will feel like shit. You will be colder, dumber, and in general less energetic, your hunger hormones will be going ape shit as well.

I can't find any studies on this, but I also believe cutting calories like I mentioned above also causes you to lose more muscle mass. Not sure why but I would love to know more about it.
>>
>>40987413
A bodybuilder has a much larger muscle to fat storage ratio and quite frankly that is an absurd scenario that nobody here needs to worry about. You are correct. Great job.

In that case, he should do an intermittent fast. Eating 1, 2 or 3 meals a day high in protein at a caloric deficit. He needs to give himself >12 hours of time to fast each day so that his body can go into fat storage burning mode (using heavy lamens terms here). With exercise as well, he will minimize his losses.

How stupid can you be? That line that you parrot, "there's no money to be made in eating less", shows that it's a sham. The fact that you feel the need to disassociate yourself is the action that damns you.

Fasting is a joke and objectively unhealthy. Not one study verifying ANY of the claims have been posted, yet shills like you keep saying "it works, trust me goy!".

Fucking neck yourself and go force some other meme that won't actually kill people, faggot.

I'm here as well, shit-posting my fucking eyes out.

Reminder that the underlying factor of obesity is not calories, its insulin, or rather insulin resistance.

Get to know this smart gentleman, Dr. Fung. His argument is that insulin and insulin resistance are the enemy in terms of obesity, not caloric intake. It’s about eating foods that keep your insulin low. It’s also about eating once or twice in a 6 to 10 hour window and then fasting until you eat the next day at break-FAST. This gives the body enough time to clean out the glycogen stores and get to the fat you want to lose.

Fasting has been lost in our culture in the last 100 years. Mainly because you can’t make money telling people not to eat and you can’t sell pills to healthy people, but I digress. Fasting is an ancient practice found in practically all religions. It makes evolutionary sense as well. If you haven’t eaten in a while you don’t want your body to shut down, you want it to rev up so you can get out there and find some food.

The Nobel Prize winner of 2016, Yoshinori Ohsumi, also found an amazing body function called Autophagy. It’s basically a house cleaning mechanism activated during fasting that has profound effects such as preventing cancer, anti-aging, and metabolizing loose skin, just to name a few.

Oh, and worried that you’ll lose muscle mass on a fast? Your body always goes for the fat stores first, that’s what it’s there for. Why chop up the sofa if you have firewood available. In fact, in males, your Human Growth Hormone (HGH) increases up to 2000% while fasting. Source:

This thread is for Obese or overweight people who have questions about intermittent fasting and the diet involved.

>>

Man I don't know whether this is just a meme or not. All our lives we're told to never skip a meal, eat frequently etc. So that's why it's so hard to accept this might work. But I'm the anon that solved his bad back pain by literally just pretending it didn't exist (look up TMS and John Sarno if you're curious). Probably everyone would call that complete shit.

So having gone through that even though I'm sceptical I'm gonna give this a try. Currently on hour 20/72.

It's 100% not a meme. Its the literal holy grail. I've poured over countless hours of information. If you want I can help you work out a protocol.

>>
>>40988106
>well I'm not gonna die from a 3 day fast
Never said you would, it's just all these fasting fags don't realize they are placing importance on the wrong things.

Hit your macros and progress in your lifts. That's all there is to it.

If you want to make it more complicated and eat 3 days worth of macros in 1 day and skip eating 2 days go ahead, but you didn't stumble on a fucking miracle. And I guarantee you that your lifting suffers on your fast days, no way around that.
>>
Can all those guys saying that fasting burns exclusively bodyfat and NO muscle please post pictures of their bodies?

Following the claim you all could easily have more mass than a jeff Seid/Connor Murphy at same leanness.

It would help your credibility tremendously.
Thanks!
>>
>>40988139
>If you want to make it more complicated and eat 3 days worth of macros in 1 day and skip eating 2 days go ahead, but you didn't stumble on a fucking miracle.

you're wrong though. your mistake is that you think it's all about macros and calories, and that hormones don't play a significant role.
>>
>>40988139

You realize that there is a possibility that the fat to protein bridge exists?
>>
>>40988152

Of course long term fasting is just used for cutting. When maintaining or bulking you do IF/Warrior
>>
>>40988176
Obviously, so you could bulk up to 30% bf and max out your possible muscle mass at that bodyfat.

Then cut down to 8% by fasting, loosing almost none of the before had acquired muscle mass - right? So you end up looking a lot better than those two fitness youtubers I have mentioned.
>>
>>40988194

You wouldnt cut from 30% to 8% in one fast of course.

You would fast for 1-2 weeks, do warrior for 3 weeks and fast again til you reach your goal.

Not saying CICO doesnt work, currently on a 1600 kcals cut but doing it with IF which totally reduces my hunger. So the hormone thing is apparently true.
>>
>>40988153
>>40988164
What you guys are stressing about is minor fucking details. Sure hormones control things, but you aren't manipulating them in a drastic way. Over a whole life of lifting and tracking, does this give you even a 1% edge over someone who just hits their macros and lifts? Probably not.

And we aren't even talking about elite fucking athletes over an entire life. This thread is full of fat asses that think this necessary because of muh genetics.
>>
>>40988221

Just try it for one week and judge by yourself. Do what you want anyways
>>
>>40988217
Of course not - you would run multiple, 3-4-5-6 days fasts as everyone in this thread is claiming.

And since "your body produces HGH" you "CANNOT LOSE MUSCLE".

Now, all I am asking for is the pictures of these guys making these claims.
They must all look incredibly fantastic, blowing every men's physique model out of the water.

Please, pictures.

Seems like as good a place to ask as any.

Been doing intermittent fasting for the past 3 months and I've only seen moderate results. Kinda feel like a water fast would help me get a nice boost for the summer cut.

Question is; is working out during a water fast safe? I only planned on fasting for like 3 days, 4 tops. And I was only going to do a light workout during one of those days.
>>
>>40988331
If you aren't happy with your cutting results, you are either eating too much or your expectations are too high
>>
>>40976256
>water fasting
as opposed to what? fasting while not drinking any liquids at all? whats next, breathing fasting, you fast, but ALSO BREATHE!
>>
>>40976603
Not him and I don't care enough to rewatch the whole fucking episode to find the relevant parts but JRE 935 (Joe Rogan Podcast with Robb Wolf) talks a lot about this. The Robb Wolf guy is a super smart former research biochemist. Similar things have also been said by Dr Rhonda Patrick and she's on the forefront of this shit.

It surprised me too but of course they never framed it like OP. They said intermittent fasting, as in like eat 1 meal a day sort of thing, has humongous health benefits. Also I learned 1 guy literally fasted for 1 year under, doctor supervision, and lost like 300 lbs with 0 loose skin. It's a fuckin crazy ass study.

>>
>>40988595
Dude you answered your own question, you ate too much. It doesn't matter if you eat 20k calories and fast for 5 days. At the end of the day CICO is all that matters. IF or fasting for days like the faggots in this thread doesn't change that. Just hit your macros
>>
>>40988152
https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/fasting-and-muscle-mass-fasting-part-14/

Read the table 2 obesity (2010) section. References to the studies are provided.

I only have the gym scale available to me, but after my 21 day fast my lean body mass was within 1.5 lbs of the older scan, 161 to 159.8. that's with the margin of error. Fat mass dropped from 58 to 35. I was keto before my fast so this isn't water loss.
>>
I posted in this thread yesterday but I feel way too sick to find my old post. I was fasting for 3 days, I ate one meal yesterday, this morning I woke up feeling ill and about 5 minutes ago I was puking what felt like acid. It was really painful and now I feel like I might throw up again.

and all the supposed benefits can be found from just losing weight in general.
>>
>>40990467
unless you're producing insulin in which case your body stores calories as fat. unless you eat so little that your body enters ketosis, the insulin will keep storing fat
>>
>>40990818

>YOU LOSE ENERGY
>
>IN THIS CASE IN THE FORM OF MASS
This isn't an effective way to lose weight though. There is just so much energy in mass. I mean, think about it. E = m*c*c. c is the speed of light, which is about 3*10^8. So out of 1 kg of mass you get around 9*10^13 kJ, which equals about 2*10^10 kcal. This can sustain like 90 people for their entire life.
>>
>>40990899
3*10^8 m/s, that is

>>
>>40990899
Please, please, please tell me you're joking around.

Please tell me you know the difference between ATOMIC FISSION and chemically burning fat.
>>
>>40990940
You're the one saying energy is lost in the form of mass.
>>
>>40990944
It is. You were proposing a 100% mass-to-energy conversion, which would an even on an astronomic scale.

When you burn wood, some of the wood is converted by chemical reaction into heat and light. When you burn fat, some of the mass is converted into kinetic energy. I don't know the efficiency rate.

Fat is stored calories. You use calories to move. If you run a calorie deficit you will lose fat.

Where's the issue here?
>>
>>40990997
I guess you kind of mean the right thing.
No mass is actually converted. Because, as you said, the body does not do nuclear fusion or fission. The molecules are converted into more stable ones, like CO2 and H2O. Which releases the usable energy.

>Ram Bahadur Bomjon (Buddha Boy)
Time Survived: 11 Months
This miraculous young man from Nepal was ‘discovered’ when he was 15 years old, found meditating under a tree he apparently required neither food no water and has sat in the same position for 11 months, pondering the very nature of reality. With reports of blue halos manifesting around his head and spontaneous combustion, complete flames flying from his eyes. In 2007 the discovery channel in made an entire documentary about him and even they, in their infinite wisdom, were unable to confirm or deny the marvellous stories circulating about him.

>Since coming into the limelight and entire industry has sprang up around the ‘Buddha Boy’ becoming the main source of income for the remote Nepalese faming village he calls home.

>On July 22, 2010 villagers climbed upon his meditation platform manhandled and mimicked the would be Buddha, according to Bomjon himself he was “therefore forced to beat them”.

Your fat reserves (assuming you're at a healthy bf% and not the 8% /fit/ says you should be) can last you quite a while. On top of that, the yellow marrow inside your bones is packed with tens of thousands of calories which your body will use up if you're starving. You can survive a long time without eating anything. It's water that you die quickly without. I don't believe you could make it to even a week without any water and depending on how active you are, even less.
