unless you compete you should use a trap bar anyway, it'll still hit all the same muscles and it's safer, plus there is carryover to traditional deadlift (at least in my experience)
I started incline walkind on the treadmill about 4 months ago. Do about 15 min on 15% incline at 6kmh followed by 15 minutes of running. I do it almost every day. Been working out for 6 years, had small legs and no ass. In the last 4 months my legs and ass have gotten way bigger and more defined.
When walking the incline you dont want to hold onto the treadmill, that makes it alot easier. Also focus on the glute and calf contraction at the end of the step.
Also cardio is the best. Ive gotten more vascular and have way way stronger bonerd since i started doing alot of cardio.

Hip thrusts are supposed to be better. I find them super uncomfortable on my upper back though.
I feel like kettle bell swings give me a similar feeling to hip thrusts. I mean you literally are thrusting through the swing after all.
With each rep I can feel my glutes firing at max their power. Feels good.
