3x5 or 5x5?
Name at least 1(one) reason why
only DYELs think in terms of sets and reps
consider volume, frequency, periodization, etc. instead, those are what actually matters in training

Why should I worry about periodization if I'm not peaking for a meet?
3x5
With 5x5 you're more likely to stall, especially if you consider the last 2 sets mandatory. It's more tiring and time-consuming without much advantage. It's basically a shit way to add volume over 3x5. Go hard at 3x5 and then add accessories for additional volume.
This is of course assuming you're a novice and doing fullbody 3x a week. Things can change a bit when you move on to splits, light/heavy days, periodization etc.

4x10 or 3x15
C'MON
3x5, because Rippetoe told me so.

5x5 more volume more gains
15-25x1

because if you're training hard enough, you will still need to wave volume periodically to let yourself dump fatigue
where periodization matters least is training for pure hypertrophy, but even then it's a good idea to occasionally drop volume and use heavier weights for a novel training stimulus

>not peaking for a meet
in 5x5 are the first 2-3 sets warmup sets? is there warmups with 3x5?
>>40947974
Both 5x5 and 3x5 refer to your working sets
>>40947974
It generally refers to the working sets. You should ALWAYS do warmup sets, regardless of what the working sets are.
I think Bill Starr's 5x5 is actually 2 warmup sets and then 3 working sets.
6x3, some anon recently recommended to get more volume into OHP sessions and it felt great today
