Depends on the pregnancy and the woman. Everyone is different and there are a myriad of complications that can keep you from exercising for up to a year depending on the case. I don't think this is always the case. Having a baby is a huge strain on the body and although some women get through it fine with no damage, other women can get totally BTFO through it. It's not always easy to get back to the gym shortly after having a baby and even if you can, you have a tiny thing to look after.
