yo my dudes, I'm in need of some serious help. Take a look at this pic. This is me at 0, 6, 12 and 18 months of Stronglifts. I know you're not supposed to do the program for that long but I've been too busy to look up an alternative, which is why I'm here now.

My life has been a stressful mess for the past few months and I've been sort of doing SL on autopilot. Basically the only change in these pics from 12 to 18 months is me getting whiter (and blurrier). I've been doing SL after work and most of the time I have no energy or motivation. I keep having to deload and I'm getting of sick of it. I still have terrible numbers (Squat 165, for example) and basically none of my lifts have gone up since the 12 month mark except my bench (185) and my OHP (125). I have also stopped deadlifting completely because I injure my back every time I do it. My form has been checked and rechecked but bad backs run in my family and I think I'm probably destined for hernia city. In addition to SL, I have also added pullups/dips, planks, back extensions and cardio to my program. It's getting to be a pretty cumbersome routine, especially when I fail sets and have to take a lot of rest.

Anyway, I'm getting desperate and depressed and I need a change. I need a new program that I can do in three sessions a week. What do you guys suggest?

Neither. I thought that lifting meant that I could eat what I wanted and keep drinking booze every day, so I didn't start counting calories until a few months in. Then I started cutting (I'm talking something like 1800 calories a day) cause I wanted to lose the weight fast. It worked and I got down to 155 lbs, but looking back, it probably wasn't necessary and it must have slowed my progress. Nowadays I'm eating about 2800 kcal a day, but I worked my way up slowly. I don't know how much you eat, but I don't think you need to go on a cut per say.

Believe it or not, these are actually pretty fucking casual lifts. You go to any commercial gym, sure you're doing better than most people there, but there are still regulars and dedicated lifters that have significantly higher lifts. Saw a guy yesterday load up bench to 335, hit it for two, quit benching and then went and loaded up squats to 355 and hit it for like 7 fucking reps. Dude was a beast, and was able to squat/bench a shitload more than 1/2/3/4 calls for in the same day.

Just saying, these lifts are casual lifts. 1/2/3/4 is good for beginners in their first couple years and high school/college athletes that just lift supplemental to their sports. That's it.

That said, I can only squat 2 plates and bench 185 for 5, so I guess I don't have much room to talk.

Currently at 186.8 lb. Been cutting for a while from like 30+% bf. I'm gonna try getting down to around 13-14% before I end my cut, right now I'm hovering around 26.0% bf.

It's so difficult to try holding on to muscle while cutting. I have a bf scale at home, I use it to keep track of my lean mass. Reason I'm cutting so slowly is because I don't wanna lose all my muscle by the time I get down to 165-170.

2. Best way to make yourself feel full to resist eating. Being poor equals junk bc junk is cheaper how do i motivate myself to not eat the shit
3. Tell me if u think this exercise regimen will help me get bigger arms within a couple months: 30 10 pound curls per arm ( slowly increasing by 5 each week) 40 tri presses, 25 dumbbell flyes per arm, and 20 chest raises per arm.

Im also running 1.5 k b4 school every other morning as well as 2 one minute planks and 50 situps per night.

I started going at the gym one month ago. Is this good progress? Do you have any basic tips to give to a /lit/ guy who decided to take care of his body? I do about 45min of cardio (treadmill, arc and rowing mainly) and 1 hour of lifting. My main goal is to lose weight and feel good in my skin, I don't really care about being buffed up. Going to the gym, even though for only one month, has already done miracles in my life. I feel way more confident and energetic, I never skip morning classes at uni and I even got a girlfriend. I always was the fat kid (peaked at 265lbs in high school) and I decided it's time to fucking change it.

So any basic tips to lose weight fast for the summer are much appreciated. (I'll read the sticky of course)
