Just started and though I'm sore all over, it feels great!
There can be many reasons. I was in the exact same predicament, couldn't get past 1plate for my life. Struggled for like a year.
Then I switched gym and program (from SS to PHUL) and I went from 60 to 70kg in 2 months.
Doing SL.
Pulling goes wonderfully, pushing total shit

I've long arms . I benched the other day and i'm still sore, deadlifting almost 3 plates and the next day i'm ready to go. Don't know if it's just muscle imbalance or I've to got see a doc

your arm length doesn't matter at such shitty weight. the difference would be minimal. just look at powerlifters who have long arms. their bench is not that far behind the short guys. on the other hand you will be amazing at deadlift.
