no, it's legit. When you workout and progressively overload your muscles, you develop very small, microscopic tears in the muscle fibers. About 30 minutes after your workout these small tears start closing so you NEED to get the protein in in that window so it can fill those tears in your muscles and make them heal big, instead of them closing up and reverting to previous size

If you drink a protien shake it won't be absorbed into your body in 30 minutes. That's not how digestion works. If your body is using protein to repair your muscle tears then that will occur using the protein already consumed from earlier in the day/the previous day.

yes it will, your body will be processing things faster because it's just been pumping blood at an increased rate because of your physical exertion. all of your bodily functions happen at an increased rate even after you finish working out. This is how calories get burnt even though you're "done" lifting
