Are these things a meme or do they actually help strengthen grip?
I have one with a pretty low resistance, use it normally when im just browsing/lurking, gives me a good pump in my forearm, dunno about it increasing my grip strength

Do you deadlift? If so do you feel like its helped you?

they strengthen your ability to close your fingers which isn't actually that helpful for holding onto a barbell

I do, never had any problems with my grip strength in any lifting, and I've been using my grip trainer for about 2 years now, even before I started lifting

If you mean to secure the plates onto the bar while you deadlift, then yes
Are they worth buying or no?

You can get them pretty cheap on amazon, give them a try.
Like I said, I feel like they also work your forearm a bit if you keep it going for a while

Tazz?
No.
i got some cool ones from walmart that you can change tension on the spring by turning a nob, so it can be really light or really hard. I mess with it while Im watching tv. I noticed a difference and even got some more definition in my forearms. But keep in mind I used it a lot

The problem with them is that you can't increase resistance for linear progression, you're going to be doing 50 or 100 rep sets in a couple weeks and you won't be making any gains. People speak highly of the Captains of Crush grippers which give you over 100 lbs resistance but I haven't trained with them

Anything by Ironmind is better than the dang meme. They may work for someone weak or recovering from a serious setback.
C of C worked for me. Start with the Zeniths and be consistent.
