Only time in recent memory when I've been made insecure is when I see rugby players, but that's more cause of genetics + gains, few are of a similar height to me where I live.

There was also this one 7' dude I met a few months ago. He goes to the same uni as me and we've chatted for a bit just because it's cool to meet someone who's taller than me. Didn't make me feel insecure, made me feel kinda less awkward cause I know I'm not the only one having to deal with life being this fucking lanky.

I'm 6'2 and I have a group of friends which 2 of them are taller than me and 1 of them - who's a girl - is about the a same size as me (she often wears platforms though). It's a very strange dynamic considering I'm taller than 95% of the people I meet on a day to day basis.

It depends on where you rank on the tall ladder, these days anyone from 6-6'1 will be outclassed in height pretty much daily, 6'2 and 6'3 will have taller competition fairly often but at 6'4 you can usually be confident that you will be the tallest person in the room, past that height your only real competitors are NBA players and someone slightly taller than you that you might meet every 6 months or so. Manlets don't even register on the scale, but there is definitely a social hierarchy for tall people too
