I don't think the sleeves are gonna fix your problems. My advice is start doing some wall squats to learn how to properly sit back during squats and re-think your cues to push out knees more.

Alright, I'll try to widen my grip yet a little bit. I already have my thumbs over the bar, never managed to wrap them around.

Weird thing is I had this problem before and it went away when I corrected my grip to how I do it now.. Don't have SSB, but I guess I can try high-bar for my lighter sets so I get some extra rest at least.

I think the Adidas Powerlifts are about that price (don't know exact exchange rates). Relatively low heel compared to pretty much every shitty 3/4 inch heeled shoe on the market make it better for lowbar squats and all deadlifts.

You might theoretically get the Sabo deadlift shoe (about the same price as the Powerlift, if I recall correctly) and try squatting in that. But I can't guarantee that a flat heeled shoe would be good for squatting in.

After ages of troubleshooting my bench I came out with 2 problems, one of which is an easy fix(shitty setup) but the other one is a bit more troublesome.

Basically my right arm hangs down on the horizontal plane(like it wants to be closer to my torso) and the only way I have found to fix it is to rotate my right shoulder a little bit back. Could this cause problems in the future and is there a better way to fix this?

Im running my own interpretation of conjugate and about 80% of my programming now is assistance work (no im not recommending this before anyone starts) and im getting stretch marks everywhere because despite being 110, i had a hell of a lot of room for muscle growth because its never been a focus for me, and funnily enough my lifts are going up, feeling easier and im the least sore in my joints and back ive been in ages

Stop worrying, do more reps, eat and grow, enjoy the process

Its hard to say if im honest, speaking to people who know a lot more than me and have success with coaching people and knowing myself what works within a programme i should be able to recommend but i struggle to put it together in a way thats both manageable and understandable for a novice. Like i look at my own training and i know why every lift is in there and its purpose because i know where im weak and i know how phases of the lifts feel and what needs addressing

Assistance

So example a bench day if you were weak in the triceps would be

Face pulls

I like it because it gives you templates but after the main movement you can customise the other work to suit where you are weak

NEAT, good luck Saturday, tripfriend. I did my 1st meet this weekend in Ft. Worth and went 9/9, hitting 195/125/227.5. Squat and DL were small ~5lb PRs. Bench is sad, but working on it. After this training cycle + prep + meet, I have a better idea of how to train for the next one.

Some people were telling me I could have picked heavier weights for squat/dead, but I'm glad I stayed conservative. I had a good time. I was more exhausted from standing around waiting than from actual lifting.

Oh, and got to meet and chat with Candito, which was pretty cool. Chill dude.

Neither of these are bad, but neither has any effect on flat vs flexed spine. All they do is give you a slightly more vertical torso angle in the setup. But even high hip starting position, like a SLDL, can have a perfectly flat back.

Angle of torso =/= rigidity of torso.

Squats day after dl can be rough, but in my experience dl day after squats are fine. TSA intermediate program has them that way always.

Yo dude Ive had (still have if I dont watch out) the same problem.

1. You gotta work on your shoulder mobility
2. Take time off if it gets too painful if you keep pressing it, it will only take longer to recover
3. I recommend you try highbar squatting for a while and let your elbows recover so you can continue benching while doing shoulder dislocations with a band every training
