Im fucking raging at the gym right now /fit/

I just attempted a 2pl8 PR on bench for 5 reps.

I hit 4 reps, struggling and fail on 5th. Some weird dude near me saves my life and helps pull the bar off me.

As i thank him and rerack the weights i notice the guy fucking put a plate on the bar while i was resting. He was the ONLY dude in the gym.

It was only 2.5kg but i feel it fucked up my set, it was that 5th rep that did it.

So my question is, what do i do?

Should i deload as Texas Method recommends or shall i attempt 2pl8 again in 2 weeks time?

I have a similar story

Lift your max 5 reps, lets say it's 225 lbs.
Now lift it with 230 lbs, but have it set up with 90 lbs on one side, and 95lbs on the other.

It fucks you up, because obviously it will.

It's fine, everybody is different. Don't mind the idiot. Guy was just suggesting, that some people, who are twenty and/or eat very well and/or don't have stress and/or are genetically gifted and/or sleep enough, get to a 2pl8 bench and more on SS alone, before they have to add volume and progress weekly.
