This is actually some pretty valid point, because i heard that it's very common for fat people to have some major complications during surgery.

Does anybody know more about this?
I also heard about people not being able to eat anything besides soup after that surgery... but i don't have any numbers.

Many (if not most) people who had weightloss surgery get fat again. Maybe not as fat as they used to but still obese-tier. Don't have a source but I heard once a podcast with a scientist.
