Is there any reason why I shouldn't exclusively do squats?

Bad for your knees after a while. Was doing squats 3 times a week pretty hard and after about 3 months, I really noticed something was starting to hurt in my knees, including some slight popping.

Took a small break for a week and a half or two and slowly progressed the weight back to the point where there wasn't as much stress and I feel okay now. But just be cautious

I've had a few down times due to injury (nothing to do with lifting, it's all accidental shit), I prefer starting off with deadlifts for a bit and gradually adding other bits. There are some god tier variations too for (p)rehab.

In my case, my knees hurt less the more I do it.
