>/fit/ cucks cant understand why its difficult to have a full time job plus go to the gym and a balanced meal

Why dont neets realize how draining work is and how hard it is to go to the gym after work.

>laziness; the post
>>
>>40813835
Just drink some pre workout on your way from work to gym thats what i do
>>

you're simply mediocre: unwilling to do whatever it takes.

Lmao. You lazy fuck.
I bet you work a desk job and think its "hard"
>>

Lets see you go to the gym after work with a 5:00 am wake up time and work til 6:00 pm.

>>40813880

I literally work 5am - 2pm during which I walk over 10 miles (mailman) carrying a heavy bag.
After which I go to the gym and lift.
I'm also pretty big and lean.

ur just lazy.
>>
>>40813900
Pretty much this except most people working 12 hour shifts have more days off per week.
>>
>>40813900

Shift length means nothing if you're sat at a desk.

I used to get up at 6, get home at 6:30, eat, workout, and sleep 9 hours just to make gains.

It sucked royally but until I could switch jobs it's what I had to deal with.

Do you want to get big? Lean? Stronk? It will take dedication. You might have to drop something else in your life and replace it with fitness. All about priorities my man.

I always thought it was hard, too, and then... I dunno, I just started doing it. It becomes a hobby, learning how to count macros, cook meals that fit those macros, etc

Blaine Sumner is a minining engineer who is on call all the time. He sometimes needs to stop his training because he needs to go back to work because of an emergency. He has built special spotting equipment because he can't keep a regular schedule. He doesn't have enough time to eat so he drinks shakes made of egg whites ground chicken breasts and spinach. He still has enough time to be the IPF open world record holder in the squat, bench and total. You are just a weak person. It's OK. Most people are. No need to be butt blasted about it.

I work as a professional engineer 44 hours a week. I lift at the gym 3 days a week, and rock climb/swim 1 day a week each. Get your shit together.

I hate it when people say to me "oh yea, i was like super smart in high school, I could have been like you if i wanted to". It's the same thing for exercise, shut the fuck up about genetics, frame, and quit half-assing your workouts and you'll do fine. You're literally a pile of garbage to me, you who doesn't know what it means to work a day of your life.

Sure you go to work, but if all you're going to do is bitch and complain about meeting the bare minimum of what is required of you to be "useful" to society in the barest, possible way.

The cuck is the one who keeps telling himself, "oh that's so hard", "oh you have so much dedication, I could never do that". Shut the fuck up. It's not hard. Pressure and time, anon.

You want to know why you the "smart guy" didn't do well in math. It's because you're a lazy, worthless piece of shit, who couldn't be bothered to realize that you're the only one who is trying to make your life better. You didn't do your homework anon, you didn't fucking try, and now you're going to tell me you could have been great. Fuck no anon, not a degenerate like you.

You're not going to make it.

I've worked full time jobs and still found time for the gym. It's not hard.

However I've also worked a couple jobs with 65-80 hours a week, and while I was working those jobs I could still find time, just not the energy.

If you work too much to go to the gym, either watch what you eat and be lean, or get a new job. Nobody is forcing you to work those kinds of hours.

Seriously. Fuck you.

I work 10-12hr days, 6 days/week, and we're not talking entry level stuff. I still cook multiple times a week, and do meal prep for times when I need something quicker. I homegym with a power rack and cable system. I also am a single father with a 5 year old daughter; I still find time for school functions and family stuff.

Guess what? It's tough. I don't get to go out and drink. My usual day off on Sunday is my busiest day trying to get housekeeping done. I get up at 5am to do food, a morning workout, and kid stuff. In the evening, it's catchup stuff, dinner & evening workout; right now I've got a kitchen wall degreasing, a load of laundry going, crockpot going, iron clothes for a funeral tomorrow, and trying to catch up on work reading.

And then I see this shit front and center like dogshit on the sidewalk.

>go to the gym after work.
I actually really like going to the gym after work.

I skip the rush hour traffic this way and get my lifts in. It's a win-win.

There are of course days where I stay late enough that going to the gym afterwards is not so awesome.

Generally I have a personal rule that if it's after 8pm and I'm still at my desk, I'm going to have to skip a gym day. I may make it up on an otherwise off day but shit happens. If you're generally consistent then a missed day every now and then isn't going to wreck you.

>>40813935
>Shift length means nothing if you're sat at a desk.
Guaranteed NEET right here folks.

The problem with a job isn't the physical or even mental fatigue, it's simply time.

COULD I go to the gym after 8pm and get a good workout in? Absolutely. I do occasionally.

SHOULD I though? Everything comes at a cost. I don't simply go home and stare at a wall if I get done with work + gym by exactly 7pm. If I work late and go to the gym late, that pushes other stuff I would like to do out. Sometimes it's stuff that needs to be done (like laundry or fixing my car or some shit) or stuff I just want to do. Lifting is not the center of my life nor do I want it to be.
>>
>>40813835
You'll be less tired after work if you get in shape.

>>
>>40817424
Leisure is like a drug, if you take/have more, it works/means less.

I had a solid 7 hours a day of free time when I was 24. I wasted 90% of it. I wasn't happier than I am now, I wasn't having more fun playing video games or goofing off than I do slinging iron or making parts. I'm happier and more satisfied now, working 5-6 12s a week than I was working 5 6 1/2s, barely getting enough in to stay on work benefits.

And it's not even about the money, though holy shit the money is better.

It's about doing something that actually achieves something.

No, I don't intend to work like this forever, it's a young man's game; I'll be 30 in May, and soon enough I'll be putting a house on my land, and starting a family, which is all going to take time as well, but which are all worthwhile uses of that time.

And like a drug, you can take a big hit of leisure in one go and then get back to doing things to maximize the effect. I've got 3 weeks PTO this year and in two more it'll reach 4 weeks a year, which lets you do some awesome stuff, especially when you've actually got money.

I live less than than 10 minutes of driving from her office, which is about 10 minutes drive from my lab. We pay a little more in housing to be close to where we work, but it's worth it in time saved.

Why would you go to a gym? Just swapped after 5 years of lifting in a gym. So much more time for eating, it saved my gains.

I spent roughly 40 hours per week on university related stuff (going to class, studying etc.)
work 20 hours peer week in an office doing simple paperwork.
and train 4 times a week.
When vacation time is i work 37,5 hours a week.
And make 6 weeks a year holiday with my current gf.
stop making excuses.

If you have 8 hour job, there is no excuse

If you have 10+ hour job that eats all your time, weekends and energy, first fix your life man

There are great U/L programs that make you do go to the gym twice a week.

I work out either before work or after but I've been working doubles (I have three jobs so one then the other) and I'll get off around 10 and my gym closes at 11 so the only reason I'm not going is because of time restraints. If it was 24/7 I'd totally go right after work and stay until about 1 just to unwind by lifting heavy ass weights and running
>>
honestly it's amazing what you can achieve when you stay focused and active throughout the entire day.

if you work more than 40 hours a week and make under 6 figures, you have more ambition than brains.

i work a salaried 40 hours a week as a data analyst and i'll NEVER stay over. never take your work home. when it's time to leave, you leave and let go of everything.

a lot of people truly don't realize how much control they have over their lives. stop complaining, stop being miserable after work, stop bitching about how your boss is unfair in the break room, stop all the negativity and take control of your fucking life.

I am a waiter/bartender in a really busy place working 3x 12 hours and 2x 6 hours. Contstantly walking, carrying shit and have a huge stress- and workload. Yet I still manage to eat 4k clean a day, workout 3 times a week, have a social life, spend time on hobbies and make time for my gf almost daily.

TIME MANAGEMENT is the name of the game. If you have so much to do then you have to manage your time and schedule your shit properly. If you dont half of yoir free time will be lost fucking around.
My gf does wash my clothes anf appartment and does my shopping for me thou. I do the cooking, everyday I cook fresh shit twice (only once on 12+hour days).
This would all be harder if you have to commute but I live 2 mins from my job.
Protip for spending quality time with gf and do yoir hobby is to get her into it. She comes climbing with me, sometimes we cook together and she loves snowboarding aswell.

Took me half a year of adapting and stressing to get ised to this thou but it's fucking worth it. Having a good stable rythm really does wonders for energy and concentration levels.
Even if you loke to fuck around and do jack shit, plan time to do it. Eg. Every 2nd sunday we do whazever we want, if it is going hiking, olay, if it's laying in bed eating pizza and fucking even better.
>>
I have a relatively easy job as a programmer, I get to work out a lot. Full time work is a scam though, most office jobs should just let you work remotely.

Go before work you undisciplined muppet.

Get up at 5. Gym from 530 to 630. Clean up by 7. Get into work At 730 latest and crush the day.

Working out before work not only improved my fitness but made me do way better at work. I'm pumped in the mornings and have way more energy in the afternoon. I work in corporate finance so I don't usually get home until 7-730 anyway and still have time for 3 hours a night to myself.

Full time job in America is considered 40 hours or more a week. Its clear that you failed in the mental gains department and are working slave labor hours preventing you from reaching a middle class+ comfy life.

For the rest of us, its easy as hell to balance work, eatting, and exercise with some prep and time management.

You can build decent muscle just lifting 2x a week for 45 minutes each.

It will take longer than dedicated lifters but it can be done.

Also most of fitness is just having a proper diet, which requires a healthy lifestyle all day long, not just finding time for the gym.
>>
>>40814576
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha you have never worked 12h a day for extended periods of time in your life, maybe you have never worked in your life.

12h and you still have time for your daughter, lmao go tell these stories to someone else
>>
>>40829110
I agree on the daughter part but 12h/7d is definitely possible. I worked as a bellboy in a 5* hotel for the summer season (~6 months give or take).

There is plenty of time to squeeze a 45min weightlifting schedule in there, not to mention the cardio and trapezoid gains from literally doing farmer walks with the client's luggage all day, erry day.
