I'm a pasty fucking DYEL with no social skills and no control over my own life. Other people my age are fucking girls and playing sports while I'm sitting alone in my bedroom playing video-games and eating shitty food. I have lost all desire to live and I no longer care if I were dead tomorrow. I want to change my whole life around and I NEED TO KNOW: How can I build the self-discipline you guys have? How can I dedicate my life to tedious things that aren't fun for the sake of my health and happiness? I am poor, autistic, and every day that passes is like another drop in the bucket of my wasted time on this Earth.

How do you commit? I need to know. How do you build discipline? How do you control your body and your life? I am weak and pathetic but I want to LIVE not waste my time jacking off to hentai and eating cornflakes.

I was exactly the same as you OP. I was lucky, however, to have a father who has lifted his entire life, and competed in powerlifting. When I first decided to change my situation, and stop being a massive loser stuck in my room, I went with him to that powerlifting gym and started lifting there. I've been lifting for little over 2 years now, and I also compete in powerlifting. I often train in a commercial gym with a couple of gymfriends, and I'm stronger than almost everyone in that gym. Strength is always mired and respected, especially by girls, and especially if you aren't a fat fuck.

Don't lift for girls. Don't. They will automatically come for you when they see you have a goal and a specific desire with your training. Watch your body transform before your own eyes, it will happen even if you only train for strength (though it will take a bit longer).

I'm not saying you should be a powerlifter, but find a very specific goal with your training, and my suggestion would be strength. That's motivation in itself, to know why you train, and what for, if the desire (in my case, to become world champion) is strong enough. I'm still a virgin (lol) but I'm not kissless or hugless anymore. My social skills are still terrible but they have become much better, since people often strike up conversations with me, asking for help etc. Just being friendly and smiling will also make miring grills start talking to you. It's kinda funny. "Wow, you are really strong". Just take it from there and practice.

Don't worry. You will make it, but you have to make that initial decision to go and change things. Get to a gym as soon as you can, and don't care what anyone thinks. Start lifting. Strength is easy, and it will be easy to commit once you see your initial gains. Become a student of the game, and you will be surprised at how much attention you will get if people see that you are good at something.

thank you for typing all of that. My parents were extremely hands-off with me and I feel like I've been stumbling through my entire life too afraid to do anything and too lazy to make any change. I will look in to strength training, I just hope I can make it stick and not stop being such a spineless lazy piece of shit.

I'm not joking. I don't care if it's pseudoscience or the placebo effect at work. All I know is that jacking off makes me physically not want to do anything productive. It's an easy boredom fix. When you deprive yourself of the most pleasurable sensation your body is capable of experiencing, you have no choice but to occupy your mind with other activities. Even if the benefits are initially negligible, stick with it, and at the very least you will have eliminated one more fruitless habit from your life.

I understand where you're coming from man. I used to jack off to hardcore fetish porn at least twice a day. It's not just that you're wasting time. The whole thing fucks with the way you see the world. An hour out of your day isn't that long when you crunch the numbers, but it's that nagging sensation of worthlessness at the back of your head that makes you feel utterly worthless.

Just try it, while cleaning up your diet and jogging daily, as a start. Or start lifting, whatever, anything that takes your mind off of the frustration. I know I probably sound a bit cooked, but I'm just laying out what worked for me.

If you do it, I guarantee it will help you in every aspect of your social autism. It certainly has helped me. I really wish I could help you more than that, because what you described has been my life to the letter. I still don't have many friends but my network has expanded immensely because of my training, and girls show at least superficial interest now - better than no interest right?

It's all cool man, it might be awkward and weird for you at first when you begin training, but you have to stick to it, and ignore stares and comments. Fuck all that. Don't ever give up, and think of your long term goal, whatever it is, even if it is to minimize your autism (I'll admit it's also one of my biggest goals next to becoming a great powerlifter).

For making it stick and have lifting become a big part of your life, I always think that right now, somebody in this world is putting the effort and work into his training that I'm not to achieve what he wants. It gets me out the door every time when I don't feel like training or doing anything. That's my main motivator.

If someone else can, why the hell can't you?

Thank you man. I see no reason not to help a brother out with something like this when I was once in those shoes (and to a degree I still am).

We might be complete social retards but lifting at least gives us more opportunities and more control, especially in social life and with grills. I hope OP sticks and comes back in a couple of years to share his story again and how things have gone.
