Should I run every day or every other day?

How often/much do you run?

Does cardio kill gains?
>>

It only 'kills gains' if you are at a caloric deficit with the cardio factored in. I run or do some other form of cardio every 2 days and it hasn't stopped me from making gains. Every day may be a bit much but doing lighter runs in between every other day in between your longer ones isn't a bad idea. I would still take at least 1 or 2 days off a week with no cardio though.

run everyday

i run everyday

no, not exercising kills gains

Fucked up my shit in second sentence but you get what I'm saying.

It's all about calorie deficits and protein intake. Cardio is essential to prevent yourself from keeling over like Zyzz, and it is a good stress reliever.

Alternate between doing sprints and more long distance running to boost both.
>>
If your legs can take it run every day.
I run marathons and I run 20k every other day. Every day and that distance would add up an injury really fast

Would you mind explaining the sprint/jog thing?

I'm just starting out so I'm just going to jog for now, but I am interested in that.

If you don't want to explain could I know the technical term for it?
>>
>>40762941
Zyzz probably would have keeled over sooner with cardio the amount of gear he was doing and having already a bad heart (congenital condition apparently)

So basically sprinting is a form of anaerobic exercise that builds your endurance and fast twitch muscle fibers. Basically its more immediately taxing than is jogging 4 miles in 30 minutes.

However, jogging for 4 miles allows you to build up slow twitch fibers, which relies on aerobic respiration.

You could do one or the other, depending on what your goals are. I like to do both, 2 days of long jogs and 1 day of sprints

Look up HIIT running. That's the pretty basic thing
