I'd never drinken tea before and I just bought it as an impluse, what do you do to get your tea and what kind?
Lapsang
Dragon Well (first flush)
Russian Caravan (the smokier the better)
Oolong
Sencha
Homemade blend of mint, basil and sage leaves I gather from the garden
and other misc teas the girls at the tea shop recommend.

Probably elite amongst normies, entry level compared to what the nans at the tea shop get into during brunch.
I recommend gunpowder and sencha as good entry level teas. Both green and good for you but distinctive enough to develop your taste for more tea.

Favourite would have to be Japanese Gyokuro, although any Japanese tea is top stuff
Also silver tip white tea, puerh, yerba mate, Earl Grey
There's alot more, I'm autistic about tea in general, but this is what comes to mind right now

Da Hong Pao
Lapsang (Souchong)
Jin Xuan
Wild White Pu-erh

I mean, most of those are not too common, but you can still easily buy them in most tea shops
Of couse, just like with wine, there are many sorts of these teas (what me and the other guy mentioned are mostly broad ish categories), so you can go even more in depth

Chai anything is my favourite.

try the basic stuff; Earl Grey, English Breakfast, "Green Tea", etc. Find out what you like.
Anything that has a bunch of flowers on it with mortar and pestle generally means it's yuppie bait. Organic, Non GMO, none of that matters. Unless you know a guy who knows a guy that grows tea in the Tibetan Plateau, there's no difference between Twinings and the more expensive stuff.
Try to drink a cup everyday or find a good herbal tea to drink every night before bed.
