Can I make gains if I can only go to the gym on the weekends /fit/? My new work schedule only allows me to go to the gym on weekends because the gym is almost a 1.5 hour walk go get there and I don't have time to do that on workdays

Yes, you can make shit loads of gains if you do deadlifts and some leg work on one day and upper body on the other day. I used to train one day a week doing only deadlifts and had best gains ever
