Calisthenics are truly the way foward.
The only reason I even have a gym membership any more is to use the showers.

its very hard to progress after certain point because it requires tachnique and great stability. (gymnastics stuff)
you can still look pretty good if you do like 20 pullups per set and 20 handstand pushups per set
i would do something with weights for legs/posterior chain though like deadlifts

Most people will get by fine with moderately advanced calisthenics movements.
And once you're able to do slow steady GHR with no help from your hands and pistol squats, you're basically set for leg and posterior chain strength.
