I was never ugly, just out of shape and never knew how to do my hair or makeup. I didn't get really attractive until late high school. I'd argue not even until I was 20, because that's when I really started exercising and eating well and treating my hair and skin nicely, but regardless I had a lot of really attractive friends in high school who had always been attractive and never had any awkward phases.
And watching them now, getting to ages where they have to actually function as adults and can't just get handed everything based on looks, they're all crashing and burning.
Doesn't help that they all are extreme leftists and blame all their issues on the patriarchy, and as a result have significantly decreased in attractiveness by gaining weight and getting stupid haircuts with bad colors, but still they never learned the types of lessons I did on developing personality and skills rather than lazing about and expecting everything to fall into line without any work.
They'll all fail, or marry rich and have shit relationships.

Being good looking alone gets you an okay life for some period of time, but if you don't do anything else people won't give a fuck.

Stick to shallow circles like clubbing, music festivals, bars, etc... and you'll have an okay life until you hit your wall where you start looking like a creepy old guy/woman where young people hang out.
