If I'm in the gym 3 days a week, why waste a day on legs? If I'm there 5 days, why make that into 4 days + a leg day where I'm making basically no gains for the muscles I care about. Why waste time training a muscle group just so insecure people wont pick on you?

Granted I've been working legs as long as I've been lifting, but I can definitely see why guys ignore it, just as I can see why girls neglect upper body.

But a guy with solid legs and glutes, along with a great upper body will always look better than guys with no legs.
Same way a girl who actually knows how to train and has a well shaped upper body will look better than a girl who just squats every day.

The main reason I train legs is so I can be strong enough to effortlessly carry around gf or sister on my shoulders. It's fun to be able to pick up people and stuff. It makes for a fun way to show off gains at events or parties without being a flexing asshole.
Also it's hilarious to play beer pong with a mate and run the table with him sitting on your shoulders the entire time.
That and I cant feel like a monster while I deadlift heavy ass weights without having strong legs.

It's most likely ankle mobility issue. If you don't have sufficient dorsiflexion in ankles you'll compensate it by leaning forward to achieve depth. This is fine in low bar squatting since the bar rests atop of your rear delts and the center of mass stays on top of your foot since you stick your butt out like you would in a good morning. If you try to do the same with high-bar squats the center of mass will shift forwards as you lean forward and you'll fall over

You want to punch hard? You need to anchor from the back foot, with every muscle from there to the striking hand tensing in succession to produce a whip-lash effect. To test this, punch something from a sitting position: isolating the movement to the upper body alone. Then try again whilst taking a stance and twisting your back foot heel inwards (like you're putting out a cigarette butt) at the start of the strike. I can guarantee that the standing stance will produce far more force. Why? Because you're recruiting more muscles.

Same principle with grappling. If you want to hurl someone over your hip who's the same weight as you, you will not be able to do that with upper body muscles alone. Your legs will be critical in anchoring your body during the move.

TL;DR: this guy has no idea how a fighter's physique works.

The point of this discussion is whether leg training is proven to be beneficial to professional athletes. Neither you or I know the specific training regimes the fighters undertook, what I do know is the professional trainers they made use of have a background in athletic fields that require specific leg training. Ergo, the fighters were instructed in leg training to prepare for their fights. They may not have done this in terms of their own self-directed training, but the professional trainers would certainly have made sure they had functional strength.

From a /fit/ perspective, I believe it's too unproportional from your calves, and the puffy jacket doesn't help me to gauge it against your upper body, so I can say your outfit is wonky too.

I'd only use the bulky jacket when needed. If inside, I'd either stuff it into my backpack or just carry it around my arm like pic related. Go to a tailor and get your shirts and pants fitted so that they're in the perfect range between hugging your body and a slightly relaxed fit. Some pants that accentuate parts of your legs, but not show off every fucking curavture of the muscle would be ideal.

If possible, I'd just skip the bulky jacket and opt for lightweight layers.
