Going to the rock store tomorrow. Any particular shapes/weights I should try to get? I'm already planning on:
>2x ~20 lb or so oblong stones for training grip
>3x ~5 lb stones for juggling

I already have 2 stones around 150-175 lbs that I can clean and press pretty easily. My DL 1RM is 475, so can I infer a theoretical max Atlas Stone weight from that?

You either have to make all the equipment yourself or find a nearby strongman gym or supplier which is quite a challenge sometimes.
You can do DL, squats, OHP, famer's walks, and cleans/continentals in a regular gym though. Those lifts are very relevant.
Also, going with the OP theme, you can get boulders for around $0.15/lb. Just find heavy shit and pick it up.

The basic lifting events are OHP, deadlift and squatting. Front squat is recommended as it carryovers the most. You can make or buy everything you need. Google is your friend. I made farmers handles but switched them out for real ones. I have a shitty hussafell I made out of plywood and and ok wood log (unload able though)

You could possibly compete at a world-class level but probably never win. You would have an advantage over taller competitors on OHP and DL but those records have been getting fucking smashed lately thanks to Big Z and Eddie Hall.
