Don't write it off just yet. I was in the same position, with no one in my family being bald. Didn't stop my hair from beginning to recede/thin at 26 years old. The chances are slimmer, but it can still happen.

Even if you look good bald, you certainly end up looking a hell of a lot older. The guys in their 50s with full heads of hair end up looking youthful as fuck, whereas the guys in their 40s who are bald get mistaken for being in their 60s, just because being bald simply makes you look older to everyone else.

Especially an issue if you're looking for a GF to eventually settle down, get married, and have children with. Those young fertile women are going to be less inclined to go for you if you're bald. You might not have any issue getting the used-up slags nearing/past 30 if you're bald, but their ovaries are already drying up.

Also, keep in mind the frequency of side effects. A lot of package inserts include bullshit side effects that aren't "real". For example, literally every drug in existence will list headache and nausea as side effects. Now, there are drugs that really do cause headache and nausea, but for most of them, it's just bullshit.

The main side effects to look out for with finasteride are relating to sexual impotence, ejaculation, etc. The rest aren't even worth mentioning due to a lack of frequency.

I've been on it for 4 months. Definitely seen hair improvement, and hasn't fucked up my gains at all. Libido is somewhat lower, like I feel like jacking off a lot less but if I'm with my gf I have no problem getting a boner so it's all good

It actually increases testosterone, which in turn increases estrogen.

Testosterone gets turned into something called Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which is responsible for the development of male secondary sexual features such as your penis and your beard. Something along the lines of 5% of your testosterone gets turned into DHT and stays that way. Left over testosterone however actually gets turned into estrogen.

Anyway if you haven't finished puberty you aren't allowed to take finasteride, otherwise it won't hurt gains but it can give you acne or gyno if your estrogen is already really high, but it's a side effect so rare that it isn't listed, so don't worry about it.

ive been on it for around it for like 4 months, then i stopped (ran out of recipes and i was busy) and now im 2 months in again.
