Okay /fit/ maybe someone can help me with this question.
So when I was in grade school I hurt my feet and shins running a race in gym class. Doctor said it might be shin splints. As a result, I started to walk on my toes because it relieved the pain.
Fast forward to me being in my late teens, early 20s. I slowly stop walking like this even when barefoot now.
And then fast forward to now, 26, starting to get fit.
So here's where the question comes in.
As a result of me walking on my toes so long my calves are FUCKING. MASSIVE. Like fully muscular calves but a little extreme especially on a girl. Probably especially because I was a mini planet while it happened.
So my question is: Now that i'm starting to get fit, what's going to happen to my calves? Will they go to normal with some normal exercises and proper diet (Like is a lot of it actually fat and the muscles are just making them look even better? My fat is proportional all around (so i thankfully look slightly less fat than i am but that don't mean shit) except for my calves so i can't really tell.
What do?
Pic of calves necessary

It'll have to wait a little while so my phone can charge enough to take a picture.
In the meantime I'l bide time in case someone else with a similar experience pops up.

calves are typically take a long time to grow and a long time to lose. Most likely they would stay the same
Would OP's strategy help mine grow? Calf raises just aren't enough

I got noob growth of 1.5 inches, I'm hoping to keep up since i got twig calves. Problem I see is that I'm close to maxing out the calf machine.

Yes. My achilles's tendons were too short as a kid, causing me to walk on my toes till I was like 14 and I had the issue fixed. I have godly aesthetic calves now a decade later.

calves grow because of volume rather than because of weight.
it is almost impossible to schock the muscle into hypertrophy since it is the muscle that is always used.
I am daily applying pressure to them and it helps.

Possibly but it takes time so do both. but make sure you don't let your tendons shorten because that happened to me
My brother also walked on his toes like that.. He has joocey calves. If only if I would have known
i had to walk on my toes aswell because during winter my heels would dry and chap so badly that they bled and i just couldnt load any weight on my heels. I must say it has helped with getting proper calves
