I'm thinking of buying two adjustable $200 dumbells online along with a bench, 105lbs max each dumbell. I can barely lift 40 pounds in each hand as it is now and would need to start lighter like 25 pounds or so.
My question is: Is it worth it to buy these? I weigh 200 pounds and can do pushups fairly simple, which according to the scale is roughly 140lbs of weight.
should I buy the weights or save the money and just go with bodyweight training?
Im pretty sure i have those exact ones. They are pretty sweet. Definitely worth it to buy it. Youll keep them forever.

I had those and they kept unscrewing and getting loose during working out.

that sucks, maybe some thread tape like for plumbing would help? Or if anyone can suggest a different set.

Related to this, I guess.
I was thinking about getting these for the home gym I'm piecing together. That way I don't have to buy two sets of weights. Does anybody have thoughts about this style?

those look good. my brother had some similar to that in the 90s, never had a problem with them slipping off that I can remember.

>I can barely lift 40lb in each hand
What fucking lift are you talking about????? Why do normies always do this shit. Are you talking about curls? bench press? overhead press? REEEEEEEEEE

Not him, but by "each hand" it implies that it is curl.
Don't be a stereotypical dumb gymfag.

How the fuck does that imply curling? When I overhead press, I hold a dumbell in "each hand". When I bench press, I hold a dumbell in "each hand". When I do weighted one legged jump squats, I hold it in "each hand"

Well that's cause you're retarded
>>40649737
Well if thats the basis of why you propose you're right I am going to make my rebuttal: you have down syndrome.

anyone who types like this cannot seriously lift. this has to be some /v/ /a/ /r9k/ tier shit.
