What are some things that are negative or suck about fitness and going to the gym?

I find the negatives oddly motivating

>Takes time
>You go through new sets of clothes more often than a baby
>Grocery spend goes up
>>

My gym is very cheap only 30$ per month food is cheap for me bc farmer I want a potato I walk outside and yank a potato lol the clothing issue is the only one that gets me but i dont mind since I have No fashion sense and This give me the opportunity to constantly try new styles

I began to start thinking all girls would want me because of my nice body. So I put in less effort myself or in my personality.

When I was a skinny DYEL I spent more time on other aspects like being a good talker and listener, getting good haircuts and nice clothes.

Needless to say I got laid more often when I was a DYEL.

>body dismorphia
>most clothes don't fit off the rack
>evergrowing hate towards the fat fuckers

I actually think that eating healthy is relatively cheap. Because you wont spend as much money on fastfood and snacks.
Where i live gyms are kinda expensive, i pay 64€/month and the average person earns about 700-800€ a month. Not really a problem for me but an annoying excuse for the fats and DYELs.

This is the only valid one.

I /homegym/ and iv only spent maybe $200 on bars and plates. Not a serious lifter but it's much cheaper then paying monthly for a gym.

Going through sets of clothes, I just go to the good will and use homeless cloths for workout. $2 a shirt, $5 for pants.

Actually when I started counting calories I also started keeping track of the price of each meal I ate. As a result my grocery spending went down as I optimized for nutrition and price while minimizing the impact on taste. I do miss eating fruit and veggies but the calories to price ratio of those is just terrible and it's so much cheaper to get micros from a pills.

I know it is boring without alcohol. The only good thing is that your tolerance goes down, so when you get drunk... it's a lot better than getting trashed all the time.

Mirin. I don't have nearly that much discipline.
>>
>>40649721
It's mostly the routine of it that works for me, I can meal prep a couple days of food in advance, have it all ready and then I don't have to think about what to eat. I just consume my container of pre-weighed ready to heat up food.

It also gives me a lot of flex room with how I make my chicken, I can do spicy/teriyaki/bbq ect. sauce on it and only have to worry about 20-50kcal difference in my meals.

I used to drink like 2 beers every day and drink like 12 on Fridays. Now I only drink like 5 or 6 on Fridays.
I just don't eat much on Fridays. And I'll skip dinner. 5 beers is like 2000 calories so I end up only slightly over. Then fast until about 2pm on Saturday. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right but it hasn't had a negative effect on my routine thus far

I'm the same. I do IF and eat two big meals a day. same stuff everyday. I'm always eager to eat the first time since I'm hungry. I eat my second meal six hours later and on gym days I'm always hungry then too.

I used to feel the need to eat junk regularly. But at some point I started to feel happy just getting to eat. Now eating always feels good even when the taste is merely tolerable.

I think lifting gives food additional meaning. You know food is essential fuel for your gains. Eating food is something you do to get stronger not just to entertain yourself or keep uncomfortable feelings away. You start caring about what the food can do for your body instead of how it makes you feel. You want your food to be effective at serving your goals.

Before you were even DYEL you thought you were strong or normal
Now that you've been lifting for a year you think you're tiny and weak every day

You're the first person who gets asked whenever anything heavy needs lifted or moved

You get asked to step in on arguments or conflicts or to take leadership/authority for some fucking reason

Acne

You understand the basics of anatomy, hormones, nutrition and health in general and any time you offer input people with shitty diets and lifestyles inevitably think they know better because you didn't offer a magic pill

You feel like shit if you don't lift for a few days

You get anxious when you can't work out when going on holiday or when ill

Whenever your friends get into lifting you're happy for them but whenever they make faster progress than you did you feel like it's a competition and want them to fail

You shit more often than you used to eat

You spend an hour on /fit/ reading about the intricacies of carb cycling and protein fibres instead of lifting

You start taking supplements and other fitness industry bullshit seriously

You become friends with people with no personality or who are clearly immature or flawed douches because they lift well

Whenever you stop lifting your diet stays the same and you balloon within days

I've gained like 17kg of mass (upped my bf by like 5%) and gained a lot of size as far as chest and shoulder circumference go, most of my old shirts had to go. Also, literally none of my old jeans fit. All that in about 8 months.

The thing is, even if I go up a tee size in the next year or two, that's no crazy frequency of buying new clothes.

How can someone be so delusional and not see that YOU are the problem?

>"I know I´m a great catch" "I just know that Ill be rejected and she will go for some muscled douchebag"
If you are such a great catch, why do you think you would be rejected? Maybe you are not that great of a catch? You are not what girls want, and you can´t change what women want. You can only change yourself. This people! They think that others should change what they want instead of changing themselfs.

>who will end up cheating on her, instead of a person wholl treat her right
Because you know everyone right? And it is YOU who knows how the girl wants to be treated, not her?!

>I don´t like the way I look, I wish I...
Yeah I wish, I would like to, If only...
Why the fuck doesn´t he do something?? DO this people really expect things to fall on their lap? Cant they have a little of perpective and realize that what is between them and their goals it is themselfs?

>the douchehouse

>study medicine
People argue all the time about dumb stuff. Try to explain to me why the doctor should have done an MRI, or why you shouldn´t do x or y. What is anoying is not that people argue with you, its that they are convinced that they know more than someone who is STUDYING THIS SHIT FOR 6 YEARS and don´t, for one second, think that they might, JUST MIGHT, be wrong.

Exercise should not hurt, it should be uncomfortable at most

>expensive whether you get a gym membership or buy the equipment yourself
I'd argue the opposite since I started lifting specifically because I was losing money due to working less and having low energy to apply to self employment

>The more fun forms of cardio exercise are either super expensive, all in a group class which can either be great or suck, and sometimes on "first come, first serve" which sucks if there's not enough room and you drove out just for that class.
Also highly disagree. Running can get boring but downhill mountain biking and absailing and sports etc are all fun and cheap or free

I also think guilt is something anyone who lifts properly has never suffered from, instead we rely on self discipline.

The rest all are on point and suck though.
