it would really depend on 2 factors, one, being fast enough to dodge an angry gorilla and put it in a chokehold, and two, being big enough to be able to hold down a gorilla.
Personally I coudn't because im not big enough, and it could probably tear my arms off, but if there was some huge dude and he learned judo or jewjistu it probably could work.

I think that given brass knuckles, maybe a male human with fighting skills in the top 0.001% could potentially have a decent shot at knocking the silverback out, given they can get a cheap shot in at the outset of the fight.
