Any martial art that doesn't have full contact sparring beyond useless.
Brazilian jiu jitsu
Muay Thai
Boxing
Wrestling
Even Possibly (depending on the gym) judo
Any of those. If you wanted to get the most out of everything, Do Thai and BJJ.

went to two martial arts classes as a kid, made it to purple belt on one and brown belt on the other. it was ok i guess, too slow though, you could learn in a much faster way

So then what would you recommend? I mean I'm not planning to go out and fight crime or anything.

I mean the best one, sorry if i didn't make that clear enough

I did boxing, Muay Thai, and also xingyiquan kung Fu for a short time.
I preferred Muay Thai Iver boxing because I like to be able to use kicks and elbows, plus my boxing coach was an apathetic shit.
I can't comment on Xing Yi because j haven't done it for too long, but it had a heavy emphasis on using leverages and your opponents own body against them, which was cool and different, but like I said, I haven't done it for too long so I can't say how useful it is.
I know boxing training can get an individual into good physical fitness but, does judo get you fit as well? Any judokas out there with experience in this?
Not OP by the way.

I've known it since childhood

I have a black belt and Taekwondo and I am also training MMA.
BJJ for years now. Used to want to be a full fledged fighter but now I just want to work as an engineer and do BJJ as a hobby for the rest of my life
>>40628621
BJJ is the only martial arts that you need to learn.
> no brain damage
> you get to fondle with girl's boobs when rolling
> you get to smell other guy's sweaty ballsacks when rolling

Did got my blackbelt in TKD when I was a teenager; got a blackbelt in Karate a couple of years ago; dabbled in wrestling and Muay Thai since then, but I'm gonna commit to doing Sambo next soon as I get reliable transportation to get to and from the place.
