This, then see a dermatologist if that doesn't work. I did the same thing and they put me on an antibiotic and tretinoin cream.
I saw the best results from using a gentle facial cleanser that doesn't have any medications like salicylic acid, as well as a non-comedogenic sunscreen. Cetaphil is what I use.

go on reddit skincareaddiction, it's a good resource and they have some suggested skin care routines for your skin type. Do a routine everyday and don't skip, you should notice a difference after a couple of weeks. For an example, here's mine:


morning:
clean face w/ cerave cleanser
rub 1 stridex red pad (its a chemical exfoliant)
wait 15min, then apply a small layer of cerave moisturizer

same thing at night before I sleep.

You could add something like benzyl peroxide to help eliminate acne.

Basically from my understanding you want 1) a cleanser 2) exfoliate (optional) 3) some acne treatment product such as benzyl peroxide 4) a moisturizer (don't skip this, or you skin will be dry as fuck, plus this makes your skin nice and soft)

There are other things that you've heard 1000x times like eat less dairy, more veggies, clean pillow, don't touch your face, etc. These are good habits to have but aren't as important as the hygiene part.

Personally since I've been sticking with my routine my acne is pretty much completely gone. Might reappear slightly when I'm really stressed out, but other than that my skin has cleared up.


If none of this really works see a dermatologist

Just remove your skin.

What I do to have clear skin
I use nothing
I never let hot water hit or run off my face
Im not super fussy about pillow cases or showering.
I only use cold water for washing the face.
I exercise.
Thats it.
