Are calves genetic or do calf raises help?
You may never have great calves, but there's no excuse for having chicken legs unless you're in a wheelchair.
Just get fat as fuck. You'll never see a fatass with small calves.

I was fatter so when I lose weight, my calves had a natural head start.
Calves benefit most from volume, and form is incredibly important ( when isn't it, tho).
A lot of it has got to be genetic. I'm dyel as fuck and I've always had bigger calves than a lot of other guys who lift

yes

Boxing made my calves big as fuck

it was painful though, lots of ridiculous soreness
and the training was like doing calf raises for two hours no stop
Anyone have experience working out their tibialis anterior?
Considering doing reverse calf raises but idk if this is a muscle that already gets worked enough by compound lifts

I'm a skinny fat DYEL but I've still got bigger calves than most due to doing sports and martial arts in primary/secondary/undergrad while being overweight.
Volume is hugely important, running helps a ton. Make sure to stretch out a lot and warm up, you don't want to injure your calves/achilles. Do that and you're done lifting for a month or more.

bike sprints with high resistance can be great, especially if you do them right with a "kick" at the bottom
