Can purposely not sleeping help my bulk? I keep reading online that sleeping less makes you gain weight.

i sleep 6-7 hours a night except weekends but then i usually stay up and play games with my friends and only sleep 7-8 hours

also i default to going to sleep at like 5 or 6 in the morning

Muscle is repaired during sleep and rest. That's where you get your gains.

Also, "muscle memory" is developed while you are asleep, as that's when your brain sorts out all the information from the day. The better your coordination the better your ability to perform.

i'm in a real slump right now. i got addicted to the vidya again. losing sleep. losing motivation to eat. all my willpower going towards doing classes.. barely making it

Same I used to always sleep around 4-5 am during my first year or uni. Now I usually sleep at 10-11pm every night and get up at 6-7am. I get so much more stuff done nowadays.
There's no real secret to it other then just forcing yourself to be strict to these times.. things will get easier once your body becomes accustomed to it.
