I've been lurking here for around 4 months and I'm finally ready to not be a skeleton anymore

Only advice to give is that going to the gym is like brushing your teeth.
Don't get emotional if you miss one day, but missing a week is pretty disgusting.
It's just another part of your routine, your life. You brush your teeth when you wake up, and before you go to bed. You go to the gym before/after work or school and then you proceed with your life.
Do you drink pop or gatorade? Cut that stuff out. Sugar is the enemy. Fat is the frienemy, Protein is your greatest ally
Eat a lot of eggs. Cheap, quick and tasty. Easy gains.
Count your calories. If you find it hard to hit your quota (i do) just eat some peanuts, they are super calorie dense.
Have a cup of coffee before your workout.
Get some protein powder to supplement, all the other shit is just a waste of time.
Take it one day at a time. Don't look at that seemingly impossible goal you will reach in 2-3 years. Just think about the workout you are doing today.
