I pay exquisite attention to my form. Last week I was just getting over being sick and went back in the gym to hit up some deadlifts. Wouldn't you fucking know it on my first rep of 455 i feel a "pop" and movement in my spine right at knee level. 455 is like 78 FUCKING %.

Everytime I get injured I just fucking die a little inside. Now my girlfriend is saying i should quit lifting for good, and my parents are always on my case because they know my history.

I can't even talk to them about it anymore because they'll all just be like "STOP LIFTING, WE DONT WANT TO HEAR YOU COMPLAIN". They literally don't get it.

This is the third time my back has "gone out" in maybe 3 years, and its always some mundane shit. Last time I was literally pulling slack out of the fucking bar and felt a pop. Now I'll probably have to wait another 3-6 monhts and do lunges and bridges and pussy machines while I wait.

I'm thinking about hopping on some test HGH and EQ or something and just saying fuck it, at this point

chiro isnt a meme, its a supplement to therapy. It is never a standalone like some chiros like to say.

For me, I have my t7 ribs pop out which makes it hard to brace or breath, let alone lift because I have done 10 years of judo and jui jitsu

I have my chiro pop em back in and I can lift that day

I think I also like the relief it brings to my SI joint, but that is with soft tissue work, stretching, massage, e-stim/ultrasound also being paired with it

I do all the right things, I just think genetics has screwed me over honestly. I chose my profession because of my injury history, just could never completely get rid of it.

Physical therapy isn't a cure but it certainly helps with my episodic flare ups. It's just disheartening that at my level of education, there isn't a more permanent solution other than "stop lifting"

For a very long time I would only bench 2 times a week of 3x5 then when I did TM I began to build some strength a lot faster because of the 5x5, so I dropped bench on TM to run Nuckols bench in tandem with TM for squat/dead which is how I got to 185. I honestly made the bulk of all my bench gains just from maybe two months of Nuckols before hopping on Sheiko.
I think I should add that now I run Large Load for bench on sheiko even though everything else is medium.

For some reason squats are very taxing for me, moreso than deadlifts even. Two reps of a working set and I'm sweating like a pig. I'm on a cut at the moment, so I have even less energy than usual. Since I'm cutting, I don't care about improving my squat atm, just maintaining my numbers as much as I can. My gym is literally walking distance from my house.

Question: is there anything wrong with doing everything *but* squats, going home, resting, then coming back later in the day and squatting? Program is SS by the way.

Also, are there better programs than SS for maintaining strength during a cut?

I just came back from an adjustment

It was 10 minutes of assisted stretching, about 5 minutes worth of adjustments, 20 of massage and 10 of estim + ultrasound

if you went to any physiotherapist office, theyd at least do massage, stretch, and estim+ultra or some modality

in my situation, the adjustment let my ilipsoas, piriformis, and glute med relax when stretching and rolling 2-3x/day and hotbath didnt alleviate it.
