Well /fit/? Which is best?
(C) Doing both every week.

>high reps low intensity
Best right thar.

t.manlet pushing 20kg

depends on what you are trying to achieve, just do one of both every week, also depends on your routine.

I want to put on defined muscle. So which?
>>40562533
high volume all day erryday. strength is for fat powerlifters and autists

Low rep for strength
High for size.
If you're intermediate, do PHUL to get both.
I did my thesis and I did research for my doctorate on this
>low weight high reps allow for higher volume and cause gene expressions that allow for hypertrophy to occur
>long term progress is slower than...
>high intensity (80% 1rm) low volume which adds strength gains faster than the low intensity group, which after a long period if volume was higher in the first group, the heavy group will surpass the volume load (assuming reps x sets stay the same) within 6 months.
If volume load is the same in any group, the hypertrophy will be the same.
the same gene expression for muscular hypertrophy occurs to a lesser degree with less volume, and higher with more
I close with this:
why not just be strong AND look strong rather than look strong?
Both
Why the fuck would you ever not do both
>he doesn't do both
Both, my friend. You gotta do that concurrant training, it's gonna be a beautiful thing, I swear to you.
*sips lemonade*

>low rep high intensity on compound lifts
>high rep low intensity on isolation movements
And this isn't up for a debate. You do it like this and get the best of both worlds.
