It absolutely can, but if done right. Like, at most once or twice a month rucking can be great. I did a group ruck run (6 miles with 50lbs) and got it in 1:02::26.

Especially useful if you need a stronger body if you're military like me

I work, but I can be flexible with my schedule. If I pair it with good dieting, can I do it daily?
>>
>>40554711
>daily rucking
Fuck NO dude. You will destroy your body. Rucking has very high stress on the joints and tendons as it is.

Google search ruck training. Some SF forums will help you out.

General strength training and cardio helps a fuck ton as well with rucking
>>
>does rucking have any advantages

Yeah the advantage of destroying your body. Don't ruck unless you're in the military and have a job that requires you to ruck.

it's highly advantageous if you are in the military or like to go on long innawoods hikes and have proper permits for that. if you're in the military you should already understand the purpose of rucking, and being able to carry a load over long distances.
>>
>>40554668
This. Dont overdo it.
>>
>>40554668
1:02:26 is a really good time for a 10k. wow. i'm impressed.
>>
>>40554639
only if you like destroyed knees by your 30's.

i did around 4 rucks per week for like 3 years. i fucking regret it at all. fuck RANGERS
>>
>>40554639
As a former Reconmarinefag I'd recommend not tucking especially tuck running if you don't have to. Buy a mountain bike instead.

>tfw you wake up and slightly move your back
>suddenly a sharp pain in lower back onsets
>cannot move lower back at all
> lasts an hour
>tfw I'm only 27

Just squat or go riding

>>40554755
What are the symptoms of "destroyed knees"?
Should I stop lifting if my knees are destroyed?
Why should I stop lifting if they already are destroyed?
It's not like I could undestroy them by not lifting, right?
Or even if I could, what's the point of having knees without lifting?
>>
>>40554639
If you do it no more than once a week, sure.

>>40554755
>Some SF forums will help you out.
The stuff on the Quiet Professionals site helped me pass RIP.

>>40555234
>especially tuck running if you don't have to
Fucking O's trying to impress

>>40555178
Was that down range or for practice? I got my best results by not doing this really taxing stuff frequently, other guys were surprised
>>
Over a month I did daily 4 mile walks working up to a 25kg backpack and trying to complete the distance in as short a time as possible. I did this fasted with just some BCAA's and a thermogenic. Helped shift a bit of weight and my body toughened up nicely.
>>
>>40554639
Burns more calories than normal walking and in theory develops a useful skill? You just have to be smart about it like others are saying. And NEVER run/jog more than like 100m at a time.

Meanwhile:
>Be 5'9 manlet
>Can carry weight no prob
>Suck at rucking because legs are so damn short
